Alan Dershowitz is doing a bang up job of making a case that the American presidency should be reined in, which, if I’m not mistaken, is not his point.
I mean, he used John Adams’ wildly unconstitutional alien and sedition acts and Ronald Reagan’s Iran Contra scheme as...proof presidents can’t be punished? These are absolutely impeachable offenses.
And now Dershowitz is saying presidents can’t be held accountable for their motives or intentions which is...absolutely bananas. He’s just...talking. There’s no thought behind any of this. It’s just wildfire that can burn everything down.
