2/n This dishonest, roguish and cunning attempt to present utter lie in the movie and pass it on as history, by @rahulpandita and #VidhuVinodChopra is ridden with foul smell. There is no question that Mr. #VidhuVinodChopra is naïve, after all he is an industry veteran.
3/n Hmm, Industry veteran! maybe that’s what makes the entire endeavor smell the rat. Industry Veterans are gullible to questionable funding sources. That’s when one wonders, are @rahulpandita, and @VVCFilms #VidhuVinodChopra writer and producers? or are there ghosts involved?
4/n Yeah the Ghosts of vested interests may be directing the movie. Of course there may be sincere desire to move on, but that may not be the case in this instance. I shall discuss this in 10/n. For now let’s try to figure out who are these vested interests? The Answer is simple.
5/n Those who normalize and trivialize religious genocide and draw benefit from deflecting responsibility and blame. These vested interests may be in the Country or outside. Some foreign Ghost investors, are holier than thou, calling them by name is a unforgivable sin.
6/n Some domestic ghosts shall fund more sinister goals. The sinister goal to rule, which inspired overlooking of Moplah Genocide of Malabar 1880-1920, which went on for months together. I pity on poor Annie Besant whose cries fell on the deaf ear of the Non-Violence personified.
7/n The same ghosts shall fund, the goal that Jinnah perused through “direct action”, to reach at “a divided India or destroyed India”. Again, the Non-Violence Champions of that time found themselves in limbo to balance between violence and appeasement. And they gave way to both.
8/n I can go on examples after examples of such domestic ghosts who have reasons to fund normalization of genocide. Your movie “Shikara” Mr. @VVCFilms and @rahulpandita #VidhuVinodChopra makes is abundantly clear that you are sold out souls and tools in hands of these ghosts.
9/n Honestly, “Shikaar”(Hunt), is right name, you are pawn laying trap and beat drum to lure unsuspecting Shikaar (prey, audience) towards trap and the Ghosts are “Shikari” enjoying real booty of deflecting blame, normalizing violence and strengthen road to power via appeasement.
10/n Lets’ examine, your sincerity in desiring to turn the chapter on horrible episode of genocide. For an honest closure one needs to unashamedly confront the naked truth, in its total ugliness, not shove it under the rug. Shove the truth under the rug, is what your movie does.
11/n Shikara #VidhuVindoChopra, leaps ahead, creates new heroes and tangential villains, at times it brings #KashmiriPandits as perpetrator and Muslim as victim. Wow!! It shows #KashmiriHinduExodus as voluntary migration. Thus your sincerity is eyewash, charade and a mask.
12/n For true reconciliation, both the perpetrator and the victim needs to look at the truth as it is, admit it, agree with it and then move on. Your movie does nothing Mr. #VidhuVinodChopra. In fact it does a disservice by undermining the severity and trivializing heinous crime.
13/n Such undermining is rather counterproductive and dangerous, as the perpetrator continues to live in a denial and keep deflecting blame, making him susceptible to remorselessly commit similar crime again. Leave alone the victim, how would the denial get the victim a closure?
14/n Therefore Mr. #VidhuVinodChopra and @rahulpandita, by now you have some idea of the loss that you have caused to #KashmiriPandits cause. This is a willful crime that you have committed any which way, on behest of vested interests, or for a quick buck.
15/n Have some shame in the name of poor #KashmiriPandits or rather #KashmiriHindus who are living in the ghettos, shelters and living a terrible life for last 30yrs. Unjust, devilish insensitivity that you have shown towards this innocent victims is obnoxious and inexpiable.
16/n Generation have grown old and new generation has come in shelters of 1000s of #KashmiriHindus You Mr. @rahulpandita and Mr #VidhuVinodChopra of @VVCFilms were lucky to have had money, to survive and put your life together again. Many had only what they left behind.
17/n They are forced to leave and live in misery, its’ not their choice. Tools of livelihood are taken away from them. Above all, life and purpose of life has been robed from them. You cannot do this injustice Mr #VidhuVinodChopra. It is rubbing salt to injury. It is not allowed.
18/n By reducing/denying possibility to true reconciliation, you have committed an unpardonable crime. You must listen to the conscience, take movie off theaters and if this means loss of some money. Well take that as atonement for the offence that you have committed.
19/19 For the injury you have inflicted on #KashmiriPandits, cross your fingers and hope that #KashmiriHindu brothers and sister will forgive you. In the meanwhile, go to camps #KashmiriPandits in Jammu/Delhi admit your guilt, experience what absolution and reconciliation means.
