Here's the thing I just can't get past with Bernie.
When people bring up his problem followers, we're told that's got nothing to do with him. But we're also told his power is building a movement.
Is the movement somehow something separate from his followers?

When I raise my question about how he would actually enact his agenda from the White House when he doesn't have a working rapport with most of Congress, the answer is "Well, the movement will do it from the ground up."
And I feel like at the point that we're counting on his ability to inspire people for his actual effectiveness at president... it's worth asking
1) How much control he has over what he's building.
2) How he uses it.

And when the loudest (if not most numerous) voices among the movement are shouting "no unity without fealty" and "we don't want a coalition, we want submission" and throwing ultimatums and alienating people outside the movement... how is that useful, post-election?
It's hard to be sure of anything coming out of Iowa but anecdotally it sure sounds as though he could have had even more delegates if more of his people had more chill?
If he wins the nomination I will vote for him. If he wins the general I will push for his agenda to pass in Congress.
But the whole "people will lead how they run" thing plus the idea that his movement is his strength leaves me dubious about his odds for overall success.
