They pulled this with my mom when she was wheelchair bound on dialysis and paralyzed in one arm. You have to go to court and fight for it. Which is ridiculous and cruel but that's where we are.
I honestly don’t know what people who don’t have employers who were understanding and flexible like mmfa was with me can do. Time off for doctors appointments, court hearings, just “I have to go sit with my mom” days. I don’t know.
Our country is cruel in ways it doesn’t have to be. And on the right they want to make it worse and some on the left don’t want to push back hard enough. Fuck all of it.
My mom legally resided and worked in this country for over 30 years and we were like “Why are you making this so hard? She put her money in.” That’s just how it is. And we were on the luckier side of this perverted approach.
And people don’t talk about this stuff. The only reason I’m mentioning it is cause mom is gone. But I’m sure millions are going through the same and worse. Stop enabling goddamn cruelty and lets do everything we can to HELP PEOPLE.
