Three years ago, with inspiration from one Girl Scout mom living in a family shelter in Queens, we launched #Troop6000: a first-of-its-kind program designed to serve girls living in the NYC shelter system. (2/8)
8 girls went to the first meeting on February 24, 2017. A week later it was 12. A few months later it was 58. Three years later, over 500 girls in 20 shelters across NYC are members of #Troop6000. (3/8)

The proceeds from every box of cookies sold by #Troop6000 are used to give girls, volunteers, and families an amazing Girl Scout experience, and helps us welcome more girls into the troop. (6/8)
