As @AOC and other progressives push against the entrenched, exclusionary @DCCC, there's a lot of outcry that we should "build our own party."

But why should we?
Why should we? The values that we fight for — healthcare, a living wage, inclusion, dignity, a government of the people by the people FOR the people — are fundamentally Democratic values.

We ARE the Democratic Party.
We are speaking for the people. And we're not asking to tear your house down; we're asking to be invited in.

But when the party excludes challengers and silences our voices, they're acting in THEIR interests. Not ours.
If this is big tent politics, then know this: We've got elbows, too, and we will take our seat at the table next to you.

For those of you following this situation:

A contact high-up in the Warren campaign this morning confirmed to me that Ashlee Marie Preston "is not and never was" on the payroll of the campaign.
From my source in the campaign:

"Liz takes selfies with everyone. We can not be responsible for how people use these pictures afterwards and can not prevent people from claiming an official professional relationship that does not and has never existed."
Jason Hilton, Preston's publicist, responded with this...curious statement:

"This is the only comment we will be making on the subject. Ashlee is proud to be on TeamWarren and will not be silenced by the media smear campaign against her."

Quotes aren't smears, Jason, but ok.

I have chronic migraines. They ebb and flow, but lately I have them more often than I don't, and it's debilitating.

There are things that could help - drugs and Botox and acupuncture - but they all cost money, as such things do. Or, as they do here.

Americans have a funny relationship with entitlement. In some ways we're the most entitled assholes on earth.

We begin this thread with a story... the story of how twatter throttles voices they don't like. As many are aware, this account has been heavily throttle for more than a year now. And no, the truth is, the numbers just don't add up.
If you will recall, I was able to figure out the person behind the algorithms was one named Nick Pickles, twatter COO. He was called into a hearing in March of '18 over in the UK over "hate speech" where he said they were developing an algorithm to fight against the issue.
