To second a bill or motion does not mean you support it. Anyone interested should learn from this.

When I just resumed at the House of Representatives, I never raised my hand to second a motion that I am not interested in or I don’t believe in. One day, I had an interesting discussion with one of my colleagues from Oyo state, Hon Stanley Olajide about it.
We went back and forth about it, went online for further research. We asked more experienced legislators. We then found out that seconding a motion means you are in support of the idea of DISCUSSING the motion or bill, not necessarily supporting the bill.
There are many resources online that can help. We can start with googling “does seconding a motion mean you are in support”? Look at this article from the website of Michigan State University. canr.msu.edu/news/seconding…
Seconding a motion does not indicate that the member is in support of the motion, only that he or she thinks the idea should be discussed..
You can second a motion or bill just because you want to GO AGAINST IT.

Why do we have so many empty seats during plenary at the House of Representatives?

Anytime I post on social media, any picture of me on the floor of the House of Representatives, there is usually a question that domainates the thread. The question is, why are there so many unoccupied seats? Some would ask: where are the other members?

Valid Questions.
The reasons are not far fetched. The first reason is because there are more seats than the number of members. There are 360 members. The number of seats are almost double the number of members so if everyone seats, there would still be many empty seats. Always.

WEARING CAMOUFLAGE IN NIGERIA

Nigeria is one of the countries where it is illegal to wear a military camouflage. Some other countries are Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua and others

How does this make sense?

I get a lot of messages from young Nigerians complaining about being harassed by soldiers because they wore military camouflage. While I don’t agree it makes sense, it is clearly stated in our laws that it is illegal to wear a camouflage or any clothings worn by the military.
Section 110(1), Criminal Code states that it is illegal for non military person to wear the uniform of the armed forces, or any part of the uniform of such forces, or any dress having the appearance or bearing any of the regimental or other distinctive marks of such uniforms.

I suspect this is by design.
In due time, DNC and RNC will be dissolved and replaced by a #PatriotParty.
She will be one of the leaders.

 She's never going to win the democratic primary, but many voters will see how the DNC and MSM have ganged up on her and will not vote for Hillary or Michelle. Some on the anti-war left might even vote Trump as an act of protest and reprisal.

 If she were to run as an independent. She would siphon votes from the Democrats, not from Trump. She would actually help him. Why would a republican vote for her instead of POTUS? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
