@VanRapeRelief @VanCityCouncil The Vancouver City Council, which just voted to defund the women's rape shelter is made up of the mayor and 10 Councillors.

Male pedophile, convicted for attempted receipt of child pornography following previous conviction for possession of child pornography and failure to register as a sex offender will NOT be referred to as a woman.

His tender feminine sensibilities might be ruffled if he isn't referred to as "she". That would be so rude.

Also, isn't it rude to deprive this male pedophile of the opportunity to change his name to a woman's name?

How is he supposed to order more child pornography once he gets out of jail if he has to use his same old male pedophile name that has a criminal record attached to it?

I've spoken publicly before about having survived both rape as an adult woman & sexual abuse as a child at the hands of my adoptive father for 7 years. It is unreasonable that I need to preface this thread with that information, but I do. 1/7
I have zero doubt that a 'women only' sexual assault service in Toronto saved my life. I had been so deeply traumatised by men throughout childhood & adolescence that there is no way I would have attended a service with either male staff or clients. Had I not attended? 2/7
I would have continued down an already well worn spiral of self harm, drug addiction & sexual behaviours that put me in regular significant risk. I am clear that I would have ended up in some very dangerous situations had I even survived. 3/7

2/ I analysed several batches of tweets. Most of these are from between 15th and 20th of October. I analysed the hashtags #Tulsi2020 and #TulsiGabbard. I also analysed #QueenOfWarmongers, which refers to Tulsi's tweet where she called Hilary Clinton the 'queen of warmongers'
3/ Here is a link to that tweet, which was retweeted 79k times. I removed duplicates from my main sample of accounts tweeting on "Tulsi 2020" and "Tulsi Gabbard". This left around 10,000 unique accounts producing in the region of around 20,000 tweets.
