In the last 6 month, I have attended 36 Council meetings, average 6 a month - average time 2-3 hours each one + reading & preparation in advance = 4 to 5 hours per meeting, some more like budget, some less
Plus this week did 1/2 day session on Pension issues

Although some Cllrs do at least arrive fully prepared at meetings & have raised far more members enquiries then I have, some have not read papers & do not say anything in meetings
Tower Hamlets is too dependent on a small group of hard working Councillors (across 3 parties)

Have a look at how often they hold advice surgeries as well

I do 3 a month approximately, every Saturday 1-2pm at Cubitt Town Library, @going4golds & I there in rotation (although I need to reschedule my 1st Thursday of the month session at Idea store)

Conscious that published stats do not always reflect actual workload especially for some C'tee chairs e.g. Pensions C'tee nor some Cabinet members (who I often see at Mulberry Place) so we need to find a better way of reporting which Cllrs are worth re-electing in May 2022 or not

Forgot to add how much Councillors paid in the financial year 2018/19 (so includes Cllrs up to May 2018) + can also claim for child care costs
Special Responsibility Allowances were substantially increased in 2018 except for the leader of the opposition group cut by £6.3k a year
