I last watched Hardball in 2000, the year I arrived in the US, and was watching to dive headfirst into pre-election debates.

I arrived the year George W. Bush was elected/appointed by the Supreme Court/the fuckery of 2000.

If MSNBC replace him with another white man...

I’m a registered NY Independent so can’t vote in the primary.

Here’s what I can do: tell you that the US is not ready for a woman president.

The left wing, the right wing, the middle wing, the centrists, the progressives, the everything’s.

The reason begins with MISOGYNY
The US likes its old white men in power.

Those old white men often have terrible histories and flawed, imperfect policies.

The women who get the closest are still also white & quite old but can never yell and will never live down histories.

The reason begins with MISOGYNY
The United States likes to think it’s the center of the universe. It behaves like if something hasn’t happened here, it hasn’t happened anywhere else.

Other countries have elected women leaders.

The United States has yet to catch up.

He nearly called the book Decisions – possibly too much like George W Bush’s Decision Points
“Another working title for this book was Right at the Centre” – that was the title taken by Cecil Parkinson, Margaret Thatcher’s one-time favourite, with whom Cameron worked in Tory HQ in 1988

It will be of a piece with every right wing power grab since Bush v Gore, including the Garland blockade itself, and the answer should not be for liberals to be shocked, shocked by the unfairness of it all, but to resolve to use power in turn to set things right.
Trump broke the law and betrayed the country to win the election despite losing the popular vote. George W. Bush lost the popular vote, and only won the electoral college with the corrupt interference of his brother and SCOTUS.
The case for neutralizing the GOP theft of the courts for the sake of a rising generation that completely rejects their jurisprudence couldn't be stronger.
