The US likes its old white men in power.
Those old white men often have terrible histories and flawed, imperfect policies.
The women who get the closest are still also white & quite old but can never yell and will never live down histories.

The United States likes to think it’s the center of the universe. It behaves like if something hasn’t happened here, it hasn’t happened anywhere else.
Other countries have elected women leaders.

I haven’t endorsed anyone. My politics are left of the Dems.
Elizabeth Warren is not Hillary Clinton.
I opposed Clinton for her policies and rejected the idea that I just want a woman for president.
But misogyny is misogyny, and it’s clearly there, regardless of policies.

I want a president/prime minister who dismantles not upholds patriarchy.
So then I wonder why the Labour Party has yet to have a woman as its leader let alone as PM.
