You saw and heard the two of them on the debate stage. You know who is a better candidate.

The reason is: MISOGYNY
There is misogyny among socialists, progressives, and centrists.

There is misogyny among Republicans and conservatives and their internal sub-groups.

The United States is a misogynist country.

The way Warren has been treated is a reminder

I have for a long, long time now expected patriarchy - I see it coming. I smell it.

Today on @NPR, @ConnieSchultz described it as “encore sexism.” We’ve seen it so many times.

By when you’re 10, and at times earlier, it’s brand new and it fucking hurts.

Why? Why won’t the US elect a woman?

As a woman of Muslim descent who has spent years fielding questions about Muslims and women, the Middle East and wkmen, etc: I am now asking that question about the United States
Why have so many other countries elected women as leaders but not the US?

And those women elected leaders were not perfect candidates, and yet there they are.

And when and where are men expected to be perfect candidates. So many elections are the best of the worst outcomes.
Do we want the bar for men raised above being the best of the worst?

Do we want the bar for women lowered from but can she walk on water?

I know the difference between supporting a woman simply for being a woman and supporting instead a woman who dismantles patriarchy and the oppressions it brings. That’s why I wrote this essay on women and power
Whatever political differences you have with #ElizabethWarren, unless the US reckons with the fact it has a sexual predator as President and that misogyny played a role in the way Warren was treated during her campaign, this country will miss a vital chance to reckon w/patriarchy

I endorsed Elizabeth Warren 10 months ago. I am ride or die until she tells me she has other plans than the White House.

If Liz drops, I can tell you one thing with certainty... I’ll walk my happy, sober ass right over to Joe.

Bernie had my support in 2016, he lost it in 2020.
When I landed on Bernie Sanders in 2016, he excited me, inspired me, and compelled me to join his revolution.

After we lost the primary, I immediately threw my support to Hillary Clinton, volunteering, making calls, and sending donations, just like I had with Bernie.
Fast forward to 2019. After working with the Draft Beto PAC as the Director of Veterans Outreach alongside @NathanLerner, @mishacollins, and several others, I began to listen more to Elizabeth Warren.

She immediately captivated me with her brilliance and plans.

We have two parties within one now, and Elizabeth Warren is the only person who can garner support from both sides, and ultimately beat Trump.

Which is one reason why you should vote for her.

It has become obvious that no Democrat will have the needed delegates heading into convention. Warren, Biden, Bernie, and Bloomberg will all take a share.

Which means we will be heading to a brokered convention, because we won't have a nominee on first round of voting.
This means that a nominee will have to be chosen through second ballot at the Democratic National Convention.

This process won't be easy, but will favor someone who is seen as having the ability to galvanize the split party. Which is what Warren can do.

It was April 15, 2009, and I was watching The Daily Show (then hosted by Jon Stewart) along with everyone else who needed a dose of sanity in the early days of the Obama White House and GOP reactionary panic. His guest that night was a little-known Harvard Law professor. (thread)
The professor was Elizabeth Warren, at the time one of the three most cited scholars in bankruptcy and commercial law and the only tenured member of Harvard Law's faculty to have been taught a public law school and not really known to the larger public.
She was also Chair of the recently created Congressional Oversight Panel created to monitor and advise on the government's response to the 2008 Great Recession, including TARP, which is why she was there that night: to explain to folks what was going on and what was needed.

For those not aware, she attacked Senator #Sanders directly today by reviving smears from the 2016 primary and recast herself in the performative victim role of Hillary Clinton that we all found so
