Shocking no one, this👇🏻 is false. SC statistics show that only 21 cases last term were 5-4 splits (the average is 16 a year out of about 80, so on average only 21%). Of last year’s 5-4 splits, only 75% were along ideological lines & the conservatives won just 57% of those.
H/t @SCOTUSblog for the stats.
You could probably come up with 80 cases with 5-4 splits that conservatives won, but you’d likely have to compile 10 to 12 years worth of the SC’s cases to do it.
Notice that 80 is about the number that the modern court hears for an entire year.
