(1,6) I am seeing a lot on social media about how upsetting the response to this virus is and how upsetting it is with the things that will be cancelled or missed. I do understand. One of the great lessons that I have learned from Jaime, or more specifically losing Jaime,
(2,6) is the lesson of perspective. As we all struggle through this moment in time with coronavirus and loss of things that we expected, with disappointments and fears, I want to let you all know that this moment in time will pass and we will be ok. I have often spoken of how I
(3,6) will never get to see Jaime turn 16, learn to drive, have a boyfriend, graduate, get married or have children. Because of what happened to Jaime and my family, my perspective has shifted. The moments that we miss because of this virus are not permanent. We will get back to
(4,6) normal and will get to go back and make up for lost time. I recognize the challenges of this moment and yet, I am inspired by acts of kindness and compassion that I see amongst us. I look at this as an opportunity for us to reconnect with each other on a more human level.
(5,6) If we find ourselves home with our children more than expected, let's use that time to get to know them a little bit better, to laugh a little bit more. Let's use this slow down in our lives to have more engaged conversations on life with friends and loved ones. Most
importantly, let's help each other to keep moving forward with the understanding when this passes, we will be fine and will return to the lives we once had. Wishing all much peace, health, and love and looking forward to seeing everyone when this period of social distancing ends.
