It is fine—and encouraged by state/Local Ca officials —to get outside so long as humans who are not of the same household keep at least a six-ft distance, and you mind all the hand washing /surface contaminants advice. Going totally stir crazy will not help you endure.
Go at odd hours, go to the huge parks that are under utilized, like McClaren. Go to remote parts of Tilden. Walk random parts of your neighborhood. Avoid getting too close to people but smile at them. This is not that hard.
If you don't know where to hike, check out @AllTrails. Do part of the crosstown trail. But honestly just walk any neighborhood, stick away from crowds, and feel ok about dodging away from people—with a smile and a nod. nytimes.com/2019/11/18/tra…
If you're in SF, why not bone up on history while you're at it? Here's my old review of Gary Kamiya's great book, Cool Gray City of Love, which he began on a quest to walk every block of SF nytimes.com/2013/09/15/boo…
But if you google "history walks" and your neighborhood, I be you'll find a path.

Use common sense re safety, obvs.
Meeting friends for a walk or kicking a soccer ball around (no hands!) or bird watching or beach combing or any of that stuff will keep you all sane so long as you follow the 6-ft and touching and sanitizing rules.

My point is be careful, be safe, but be sane. And lead by example for the rest of the country.

Shelter-in-place (with walks!) will end up being rolled out everywhere, I'd bet. We can do proof of concept.
All that said if people do not abide by social distance rules expect to have much harsher enforcement of them and the horrors that Italy now faces:
