Dear Start-Up Founders, this is a trying time for many of you, especially the ones who might have just started out. All your plans have gone haywire. Some of you might face some temporary failure too. This thread is for you.
Firstly remember one thing, and this is coming from someone who has failed so big that she did not know where her next meal will come from, that it's ok to fail. Whether the failure is cause of own mistakes or external circumstances, it is ok. And you will survive this
But here are a few pointers to help you along the way. 1. Reach out to people for help. When I failed there was no industry backing of start ups but today there is. Reach out. Talk. Maybe someone can guide you during this troubled times
People are there to help. You can also reach out to others. My ex bosses are the reasons am alive. If they did not pick me up (and my egoistic self did not reach out to them) but people like @kanchankumar & @vikimartin ensured I got back on my own 2 feet. People are there for you
2. Don't take the unnecessary pressure of what will people think. The one's who want to will. They not your friends. Don't bother. Remember many many many more people will actually understand you. Identify them. You will need them.
3, Do not ignore mental health. Pressure can cause a lot of wreck to our bodies. Go speak to therapists. Lots of them online. Lots of them even do pro-bono. But speak. Do not keep it bottled up. And it's ok to break down & cry.
4. Try and see what can be done for your employees. Many might get stranded too. Help them as much as you can. Connect them with companies who can maybe hire them. Give them a good recco. Reach out to them.
5. And most importantly, remember there is help for you. And there is no shame in reaching out. We will figure out the solutions. It might not be what you planned when you set out, but then in start up didn't we learn that planning & what happens is different
6. And the final thing. Remember this is not the end. You will again make it. This is just a setback.

Am ending this with the wish that none of you have to face any setback, but in case you do, may you know that it's ok & help is just a message away.
