In my work, pondering the systemics of various issues/problems one of the first questions, or overriding questions is "What problem are we trying to solve?
Tr is solving for himself/self interest. We need to be solving for the good of the country.

What seems to make no sense, with the imperviousness to facts & present tense reality, the dribble of doing his job 7-10 days in arrears, seen through this lens, we see him making perfect sense from his POV.

And since he has mastered the Gobbles class of communication he is able to keep people on edge who need him to do things, but of whom he demands "they have to treat me right" as tribute.
