Jho Low was allowed to keep $15M of his pilfered money to pay his lawyers, but I bet his lawyers will be in trouble for allowing that deal when they were being paid through laundered bribe money from his co-conspirators.

Some of the money was laundered as invoices or payments paid through a "respectable middle eastern concern in which the politically connected individual held some shares" That was a Kuwaiti oligarch paying that money behind the company he owned shares in...
So the Chinese government company agreed to double it's bid on a railway project in Malaysia & then pay off $7.5B in 'debts' after laundering the money.

The 1MDB & Odebrecht corruption cases were 2 of the major drivers of Spygate. The Director of the FBI & Attorney General were the targets of these conspirators who wanted to shut down those cases. Preferably by electing a Swamp creature as President in 2016 to fire them!

Goldman Sachs even hired a law firm to try & force the recusal of AG Barr & other Trump DOJ officials. Something that would potentially obstruct the prosecution of this case.
