The ‘ I’m not sure I can drive to London in case it’s not safe but it’s safe to drive a one hour round trip with wife and child in car to test out my eyesight’ justification is bizarre.

The ‘ I don’t want strangers to get #COVID19 but don’t mind if my 17 year old niece gets it ‘ is bizarre.

The ‘ I can remember having a full tank of fuel for the way up but can’t remember if I stopped for fuel on the way back ‘ is bizarre

The ‘ I have made mistakes ( not just about the Durham /Barnard Castle trip ) but don’t regret anything’ stance is bizarre

The ‘ I wrote about the dangers of pandemics ages ago, am trying to change the country for the better and yet being slippery around adherence to guidelines ‘ stance is bizarre

The ‘ I’m going to interpret guidelines in a way to suit me whilst repeating AD INFINITUM that he had taken EXPERT MEDICAL ADVICE’ is ....well.... that’s all right then, isn’t it?

In place of an apology, entitled people will often try and garner sympathy for their situation, so that they are excused without the need for accountability.

My guess is that A LOT of work went into that statement to make it appear as though his movements could be justified as much as possible and DC was sent out to test the public mood.

For anyone who has encountered either a #Narcissist #coercivecontrol and #Gaslighting will be familiar with the slippery evasiveness of someone absolutely adamant not to be held accountable for their actions.

And you can bet that he is REALLY p*ssed off that he had to make that statement and answer journalist questions as he will consider that beneath him.
