Listening to a Senate hearing on opening universities up for in person instruction:

Key point: Purdue's president says any student, staff, or faculty member who doesn't want to be on campus can learn/teach/work remotely.

Looks like fall 2020 is HyFlex.

Daniels stated that Purdue has ordered >1 mile of plexiglass.

Daniels: the costs of opening up fall term is "tens of millions of dollars."

(Like I've been saying since March)

Lane College's president, Dr. Logan Hampton, describes 3 scenarios for fall 2020:
-face to face
-online
-flexible

Hampton also calls for new federal aid to HBCUs, given the disproportionate impact of the #pandemic on black students, faculty, and staff.

Georges Benjamin (I think) says we should assume #COVID infections on campus this fall.

I think he's talking about commuter colleges, but am not sure.

Interesting idea: repurposing faculty + staff spaces for classrooms, when said faculty + staff are working remotely.
