The recent months have many such examples:
1. Terrorist who admits to murder of Sri Lanka Army personnel not arrested. *Happens to be close associate of govt.

The SLPP says it wants a 2/3 majority to dismantle the 19th Amendment, which was passed by a minority UNP govt in an UPFA majority parliament. In other words...
So what SLPP is really saying is that checks & balances (established by 19A) are nice when they are in opposition. If they are in govt they would rather govern without accountability /checks & balances.
A vote for SLPP is a vote which will facilitate dismantling democracy as we know it.
