Perfection is a mirage. But the journey in search of perfection is a road worth traveling. Everyone from parents to spouses to children and friends, all of them have taught us something in that journey.
Every moment is a learning experience if we keep our eyes open. Even strangers can leave with unforgettable lessons. Hence I salute everyone who has touched my life in this journey of five decades in pursuit of perfection. #part2
I perhaps should have written this on Guru Purnima. But the idea just hadn't happened. Waiting for the next Guru Purnima is like looking for a mirage in these times. We don't have a warranty card against the pandemic. Hence it is "Happy Teacher's Day". #Part3
I remember all my Teachers with a lot of fondness. I also salute my friends and family who have taken up teaching as profession. I dedicate this to that "One Guru" or Teacher, who has taught us some invaluable lessons over the past seven years. #Part4
From the day of his arrival on the national scene in later parts of 2013, we have had to unlearn and relearn a lot. It has given some pain but a lot of enlightenment. Here is a modest attempt to recollect some of the more important lessons. #Part5
Icons were I-Cons: Several people like Prannoy Roy, Barkha Dutt, Kamal Haasan, Aamir Khan and Javed Akhtar were icons for us. We looked up to them as inspirational. But today we see them completely shorn of their halos. #Part6
They're just divisive, selfish Con people who do everything at the behest of Con (I).
All are equal in a democracy: This was such a balderdash. Your life has a value only if you are Akhlaq or Pehlu Khan or Asifa. #Part7
The nation should collectively mourn and hang our heads in shame only for these people. If you are a Palghar Sadhu or any of the scores of Hindus lynched, raped or butchered, you should be immediately erased from the collective conscience of the nation. #Part8
Respect for Courts: Amit Shah, Sadhvi Pragya, Lt. Colonel Purohit and such people are guilty even if the Courts have dismissed most of the cases against them. But Safoora, Kafil Khan, Sharjeel Imam and the Urban Naxals must be released from jail even without trial. #Part9
As long as the Courts delivered verdicts in favor of a select coterie, it was all fine. The Courts became compromised the moment the verdicts weren't to the liking of the cabal. #Part10
Terror has no religion: Every time there is a bomb blast, shoot out, knife attack or vehicles mowing down people, we must remember terror has no religion. But as soon as one Akhlaq is attacked, terror gets a color, "Saffron" as well as a religion, "Hindu terror". #Part11
#Bapu and #chacha: Indian freedom struggle was all about Bapu #gandhi and Chacha #Nehru with all others becoming footnotes. Post Independence India was only about the sacrifices made by one family. #Part12
In fact, Chacha's family turned Bapu's surname into the greatest brand in the country and has sold the nation using the brand name.
Media, the watchdog: Ramnath Goenka was an icon for the entire Indian media. Today, media stands as fragmented as the polity. #Part13
With unabashedly biased Anti-government vitriol pouring from the Zero degree end of the spectrum to unadulterated glorification at the 180 degree end, media has turned lapdog of the opposition or the government. It appears, no media can stand erect at 90 degrees. #Part14
With the urge to hate the government being insurmountable, many in the media have become lapdogs of Pakistan, Turkey and China.
We've come a long way in these seven years. Far too longer than we did in the 66 years before. #Part15
From "Chaman Ki Aasha" pussyfooting before Pakistan to staring China in the eye without blinking. From condemning "Kadi Ninda" of "Non-state actors" to conducting Surgical strikes and Airstrikes over these actors. #Part16
From being perpetually cornered among world community to taking center stage and wielding influence over elections in UK and US. What a journey it has been, where we have found political oasis in the deserts of middle east. #Part17
We couldn't even imagine these things could actually happen to India. We learned, if there is a will, there is a way.
Many an icons and idols have fallen by the wayside in this journey. We've learned "Might is right" and "Right is might". #Part18
We've "Left" behind a legacy that always taught us to be servile to external forces. A lot of wrongs have been set "Right" and whatever is "Left" is in the process of being put in the "Right" place. It still isn't all hunky dory. #Part19
A lots of miles still remain before us in this journey. Perfection is a mirage but the journey is worth. The "Right" road has been taken and that has made a huge difference.
We learned 40 Crore marginalized people can get bank accounts and insurance. #Part20
We learned gas cylinders can reach the poorest of poor. We learned the last village on the border can get electricity. We learned infrastructure can be built in the regions bordering China. We learned toilets and sanitary napkins were more important... #Part21
...than schemes in the names of one family. There are a lot more things we learned but it is impossible to enumerate all of them. But the most important lesson we learned was that "Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb" was a joke; a cruel and miserable joke of unilateral goodwill. #Part22
"I salute the Guru, who has removed the blindness of ignorance by opening my eyes with knowledge" #Part23
We will be celebrating the 70th birthday of the #guru, the #karmayogi and the #Teacher in twelve days, on #17September. Everything we learned was not directly from him. But he has paved way for the enlightenment. #Part24
Banda: Your Honor, this cattle seller Chanda has cheated me. I wanted to buy two cows and paid him ₹ 1 Lakh for two cows. But he as sold me two bullocks. This is utter cheating...
Justice MoonCho: Why did you cheat him ?
Chanda: I have not cheated Your Honor. I sold him a pair of cattle for ₹ 1 Lakh.
Justice MoonCho: What nonsense ? I can clearly see two bullocks there in the image produced as evidence.
Chanda: Your Honor, I would humbly like to remind you that there is nothing like absolute male or absolute female. Gender is not about genitals alone. It goes beyond the physical gender at birth.

A True Story buried by our Historians
THREAD: 1
Shah Jahan married a beautiful 19 year old Arjumand Banu Begam as his second wife in 1612. They were engaged when she was just 13 as insisted by Noor Jehan, the consort of Jahangir..
2:
She was given the title Mumtaz Mahal by Shah Jahan after their marriage.
Shah Jahan was voracious in love and presented Mumtaz with five children in five years. Hur-ul-Nisa Begum, Jahanara Begum, Dara Shikoh, Shah Shuja and Roshanara Begum.
3:
A strange quirk of fate at this stage changed the destiny of India. Shah Jahan had suddenly lost interest in Mumtaz and stopped visiting her Jenana after Roshanara was born. Mumtaz was heartbroken. One of the eunuchs in the Jenana was a Dalit called Mahamada.
With PM @narendramodi soon launching #BJPsVaccine" for #COVID19, we'll have to get used to "Vaccination Deaths" like those infamous #Demonetization_Deaths". Here is an attempt to compile a list of potential news reports during the vaccination drive.
(1/N)
1. 71 year old man collapses and dies, standing in serpentine queue during #Modi's ambitious vaccination.
2. 32year old Kerala youth dies 7 hours after vaccine. His bike was run over by a truck. His friends claimed, "He never had such accidents before taking the vaccine."
(2/N)
3. One more vaccine death. 36 year old Doctor, who had received first dose of COVID vaccine just 8 days ago, was beaten to death by bystanders of a patient who died in the ICU due to heart attack.
(3/N)
#Nehru: His great grandpa chanted #HindiChiniBhaiBhai and lost miles and miles of Indian land to China. He claimed, "Not a blade of grass grows there." He lost Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to Pakistan and turned Kashmir into hell on earth.
(1/N)
#IndiraGandhi: His grandmother was planted as PM of India by USSR by eliminating Lal Bahadur Shastri. It was KGB that lorded over India during all those years of the Iron Lady's rule. Emergency was clamped USSR backing and Indira did not utter one word against interference.
(2/N)
She kept blaming the "Foreign Hand" of America but was the de facto foreign "Hand" of USSR in India.
#RajivGandhi: Wasn't even able to stand up to the bullying of #AIMPLB. He was such a miserable failure that he sacrificed the interests of Indian Army...

While the whole Hindu Right Wing is baying for Deepika Padukone's blood, I have a different take. I cannot shun this responsibility to post my thoughts about Deepika. I advocate no #Hash_Tea actions against her. Let me elaborate.
(2/N)
We should never forget Deepika is a woman of #substance. She is made of sterner #stuff. She's managed to create her own identity away from her father's shadow and done her best to #weed out nepotism in cinema field.
