राऊंना पेशवेपद द्यावे किंवा नाही या विषयी प्रथम थोडासा वाद झाला होता. बहुतांनी राजश्रींकडे ह्याचा विरोध केलेला.

परंतु बाळाजी नानांनी जसा मराठ्यांचा बंडावा मोडून काढला तसे निजामाचे निवारण करण्यास बाजीरावंच योग्य आहेत अशी छत्रपती शाहू महाराजांची मनोमनी खात्री झाली होती.

Around 230 BCE, #Maharashtra came under the rule of the #Satvahana dynasty for 400 years.

It was also ruled by the Western Satraps, the #Guptas, Gurjaras-Pratiharas, Vatakas, Kadambas, Chalukyas, #Rashtrakutas and the Western #Chalukyas before finally, the #Yadava Rule.

In short, #Maharashtra was ruled by #Hindu Kings.

Unfortunately, in the early 14th century, the Yadava Dynasty was overthrown by the Islamic Invader #AlauddinKhilji, who was then, the Sultan of #Delhi. This marked the beginning of #Islamic Rule in Maharashtra.

It dictates the fundamental political principles, powers & duties of the government & also enumerates the fundamental rights, directive principles & duties of the citizens.

The Constitution was framed in a way to ensure that the Parliament does not have the power to override it.
