Abid(20) & Mehraj(22), the two misguided youth from #Wadoora #Sopore, north #Kashmir fell into the trap of the radical propaganda run by terror outfit Al-Badr in Sept 2020.

Both went missing from their home and joined Al-Badr on 24 Sept 2020. #IndianArmy went all out to get these misguided youth to renounce the path of violence & return home peacefully.

On 1st Oct 2020, GOC Kilo Force met with the families of Abid & Mehraj, urging their parents to persuade their wards to surrender, he assured them full support from the #IndianArmy to bring them back peacefully. This was a crucial factor in their successful surrender today.

Today afternoon a joint team of #Army’s 22 RR, JKP & #CRPF launched a CASO in Tujjer village of #Sopore, North #Kashmir after getting a specific input of presence of #terrorists in the area.

The suspected house was cordoned off by the Security Forces, 02 #terrorists were trapped in the house, appeals were made to the terrorists to surrender even their families were called in to urge them to surrender.
