Voting machine cyber security issues and a foreign supply chain had been areas of concern since 2005.

But in the face of a Donald Trump loss, those concerns are out the window for some.

Dominion Voting Systems is under scrutiny after the #Michigan GOP discovered the software flipped 6,000 votes cast for Republican in favor of their Democrats competitors.

In #Georgia, DVS machines went down due to what the county clerk called an “vendor update” the night before
Now, lawyer @SidneyPowell1 is calling the vote-switching that occurred in Michigan a “feature” of Dominion’s software. This statement is supported by US voting machine manufacturers’ history of lax cyber security improvement & lack of supply chain integrity.

I explain below:
Despite over a decade of alarms being raised about the security of voting machines, the MI Sec of State has issued a statement dismissing the idea of a “glitch,” insisting that the misallocated votes were simply a result of human error.

In 2005, cyber security expert Harri Hursti demonstrated that he could easily adjust voting results in a single-step hack. In an affidavit, Hursti explained that multiple aspects of U.S. voting machines’ are susceptible to hacking - including tabulators. forbes.com/sites/jodywest…
Hursti’s work detailing the easily manipulation of America’s voting machines was featured in a documentary called “Hacking Democracy.”

hackingdemocracy.com/about
Hursti came forward in April to warn that the voting software and machines he easily hacked back in 2005 were STILL being used throughout the U.S., though it’s unclear if Georgia and Michigan were among the states still using the outdated software.

Brennan Center Report: "Colored Pencils Receive More Federal Oversight than Election Infrastructure"

brennancenter.org/our-work/polic…
In a report issued by the Brennan Center for Justice back in 2019, the institute slammed the U.S. government for a lack of federal regulation in the electronic voting infrastructure industry.
They point out that a weakness in election infrastructure - in a single U.S. county - could cause severe repercussions for democracy.

However today, with multiple glitches being investigated, the center called the election "largely glitch free."
brennancenter.org/our-work/analy…

This article was written by Michael Waldman, the president of the Brennan Center. He was the speech writer for none other than Bill Clinton
Instead of addressing the multiple glitches being reviewed in MI and GA, Waldman says "this election, democracy won."

He later writes that it was a "largely glitch free" election.
Pretty odd for an organization that was just pointing out serious weaknesses in voting software just one year ago.

But anyway, back to the thread about the concerns with voting machine security -
Back in 2019, the Brennan Center said:

“There is almost no federal regulation of the vendors that design and maintain the systems that allow us to determine who can vote, how they vote, or how their votes are counted and reported.” -The Brennan Center for Justice, 2019
The authors of the report pointed out that all other areas of U.S. critical infrastructure receive extensive oversight and regulation - but for unclear reasons, the manufacturers of voting machine software and machines do not.
They point out that the “big three” - Dominion Voting Systems, ES&S, and Hart InterCivic - had long been prioritizing manufacturing convenience over maintaining integrity in cyber security.
Now that we've gotten to the part about convenience over maintaining integrity in cyber security, it's time to talk supply chain integrity.

It is crucial to understand: ELECTIONS INFASTRUCTURE IS CRITICAL INFASTRUCTURE.
dhs.gov/topic/election….
While other aspects of critical infrastructure (i.e. weapons & communications) take supply chain integrity seriously, the supply chains of elections infrastructure goes without meaningful regulation and review.

Why? (That's the question of the day)
The DSB task force on cyber security points out that microelectronics included in a manufacturer’s supply chain can cause serious security issues.
dsb.cto.mil/reports/2010s/…
“Insertion of a malicious microelectronic vulnerability via the supply chain can occur at any time during production…Exploitation via malicious insertion has, however, been confirmed in the commercial sector." -DSB Task Force on Cyber Security Supply Chains
Which brings us back to #Dominion Voting Systems and the two other manufactures that make up 90% of the U.S. voting machine market.

In January of this year, the "big three" met with congress to discuss foreign parts being used in supply chains.
abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireS…
Of course, with less than a year to the election, nothing changed.

It's worth mentioning again that other critical infrastructure sectors are under heavy scrutiny and regulation. For whatever reason, election infrastructure has flown under the radar.
Bottom line:

Despite over a decade of cyber security experts and defense experts raising the alarm about the weaknesses in U.S. voting machines, it appears the absolute bare minimum has been done to mitigate those risks.
Today, Americans are faced with an election in which (at least) two states have experienced suspicious phenomena with voting machines that resulted in either misallocated votes and uninvestigated system shut downs.
While MSM continues to insist there is "no evidence of fraud" or foul play, the fact that essential voting machine security measures/ supply chain integrity were largely ignored for years.
That revelation alone lends credence to Sidney Powell’s statement that the ballot-swap “glitch” is not a glitch at all, but a “feature” of the systems.

In 2010, Dominion Voting Systems purchased a company that had been under U.S. scrutiny for potential ties to the Venezuelan Chavez regime.

The purchase included intellectual property, hardware, software, and firmware.

#DominionVotingSystems (a Canadian company) acquired Sequoia Voting Systems in 2010.

Sequoia was sold to Dominion by their parent company, Smartmantic. Smartmantic had Venezuelan founders & collaborative ties companies with partial Chavez regime ownership. #2020Election
In the purchase of Sequoia, #Dominion acquired the company’s intellectual property, software, firmware, and hardware.

Essentially, the way the machines worked, their design, & programming was transferred to Dominion with the purchase.

From "mostly peaceful" to "largely glitch free" 😑

2019: Brennan Center published a report exposing the cyber security & supply chain weaknesses in U.S. voting machines.

They referenced Russian interference in the 2016 election (when @HillaryClinton lost to @realDonaldTrump) ImageImageImage
They even included in the report that a SINGLE COUNTY in #Pennsylvania with a machine security weakness could have major implications for the rest of the county. ⬅️

In the #2020PresidentialElection two states, #Michigan and #GEORGIA have experienced odd voting machines issues... Image
But the Brennan Center isn't worried anymore.

An article on their home page, written by the orgs president, is calling the election "largely glitch free" - a win for democracy. ImageImageImage

The Great Lakes Justice center has filed a lawsuit on behalf of two plantiffs who say they witnessed serious election interference at the #Detroit TCF center.

The lawsuit is in the link below:

The plantiffs allege:

1. "Ballots were counted even though the voter’s name did not appear in the official voter rolls."

2. Election workers were ordered to not verify signatures on absentee ballots, to backdate absentee ballots, & to process ballots regardless of validity. ImageImage
3. Election workers processed ballots that appeared after the election deadline and falsely reported that those ballots had been received prior to November 3, 2020 deadline. Image

It is now confirmed the shooter held tribalistic leftist beliefs.

We now find that he had NO record of a security license in the city of #Denver.

There are photos showing Antifa was present at the rally to counter protest.

Meanwhile, 🦗 from @GovofCO, @MayorHancock ImageImageImage
For the record, Mayor Hancock has put out his best wishes to the victim's family and this is an ongoing investigation.

That said, it doesn't take journalists to see that the shooter held leftist beliefs.

Mayor Hancock has made it clear extremists aren't welcome in Denver -
that said, extremists like the @pslweb have been openly supported by elected officials in the Denver area for months now.

Some elected officials have actually attended protests thrown by these groups.

Hancock and the Governor haven't addressed the fact that city council /

THE FACTS:

Since the independence of India and the split between the Republic of India and the Islamic State of Pakistan, the region of Jammu and Kashmir has been in turmoil. Image
Located right on the border of India and Pakistan, this region legally belongs to #India - #Pakistan, however, has violently disputed this since the two countries separated in 1947 upon independence from Britain.
