I welcome the adoption of the 67th United Nations resolution condemning the grave and systematic violations of #HumanRights in #Iran.

Once again, I emphasize that those responsible for the majority of the crimes to which the resolution has referred are the very people who turned the November 2019 uprising into a bloodbath, killing at least 1,500. #IranProtests

Despite failing to address many aspects of the flagrant violations of human rights in Iran, the UN resolution leaves no doubt that the clerical regime in #Iran is the world’s leading abuser of human rights today.

The clerical regime has flagrantly trampled on the Iranian nation’s fundamental rights in all its political, social and economic aspects. It is in no way compatible with the 21st century, and must be banished by the world community. #HumanRights

Impunity for the criminal leaders of the clerical regime in #Iran should end and all of them must face justice for 40 years of crimes against humanity. #NoImpunity4Mullahs

While a year has passed since the massacre of defenseless protesters in November 2019, the regime’s criminal leaders, terrified of domestic and international repercussions, continue to refuse providing the actual number of those killed, wounded, and arrested. #IranProtests

The clerical regime’s authorities are brutally torturing those detained in medieval prisons to pressure them to confess and take part in forced interviews. #Iran #NoImpunity4Mullahs

The horrific slaughter of protesters in November 2019 and the #1988Massacre of 30,000 defenseless political prisoners, which the regime’s current leaders were involved in and continue to brazenly defend, are the most manifest cases of crime against humanity.

The lack of action vis-à-vis the clerical regime’s continuing crimes against humanity is a scar on the conscience of humanity. As such, an investigation into these horrific mass murders & the prosecution of those responsible is the litmus test before the international community

I am appalled by the cruel murder of three citizens of #France &denounce the killing of innocent people under the name of Islam.This only damages Islam as a religion of peace, compassion &emancipation.The only antidote is a tolerant &democratic Islam as a cultural &social answer.

Murder of innocent ppl, #terrorism &hostage-taking under the banner of Islam for political ends &to suppress opponents have become a global dilemma with the criminal calls&fatwas of Khomeini &Khamenei in #Iran. The mullahs’ doctrinaires formulated this as “a new form of power.”

Only the overthrow of the clerical regime, as the central banker of religious fundamentalism and export and expansion of #terrorism , will bring an historical end to this cycle of terror and violence in our time.

From the February 11, 1979 uprising to June 20, 1981 to February 8, 1982, the will to rebel and revolt has been fortified in the confrontation against the onslaught by Khomeini, who plundered the fruits of over 70 years of the people's suffering & sacrifice. #FreeIran2020

Since then and as we saw in the recent uprisings, #Iran has continually been consumed by restlessness, revolt and rebellion for freedom. #FreeIran2020

The MEK refused to vote for Khomeini’s constitution, whose bedrock principle was absolute clerical rule. With the June 20, 1981 uprising, they cemented the decisive demarcation between the people & the mullahs, & paved the way for obtaining freedom. #Iran
