Today we're going to learn how to see exactly where everyone in your group lands with Teala! AKA: Breaking your exchanges apart to make them more manageable and define the data (with Survey Questions and Participant Groups) #TeMasterClass#TeVE
Our participants will leave this #TeVE with the knowledge of how to set up their own survey questions & participant groups. Survey questions are close ended questions to better understand participants. Use them to see who has participated and who hasn't.
Results in Discover Dashboard are dynamic! Survey questions - Demographic & opinion are most commonly used). Ask questions like:
How long have you worked here?
What is your role?
Location?
Important! ALWAYS maintain confidentiality. If your groups is less than 10 people, don't ask identifying questions.
These survey questions will help you can understand how these different stakeholder groups will react to an exchange. #TeMasterClass#TeVirtualEvents
Participation Groups - This is how you split your conversation into multiple conversations. You can sort participants into segments, ONLY rating thoughts of others from their identified group. (BETA testing, not turned on by default, give it a try!) #TeVE
PG Example - Location. Based on their location, they will only interact with thoughts from people in that same location. Make sure groups are relevant. you can combine some groups to be consistent with anonymity and to get better results. #TeMasterClass#TeVE
Teala is now showing us how simple it is to set these up. Pro Tip - You can't add or edit participant groups after the exchange has been launched. Always double check these groups before launch to make sure that you're not missing any! #BringPeopleTogether#TeMasterClass
Launching an exchange (in Presenter Mode as always) to put our #crowdsourcing tool to work for us (Q&A). Teala is able to launch an exchange and share it with participants in less than a minute! #TeVirtualEvents
It's time to dig in. Stay tuned for the replay to hear Teala's full answers to each thought. Registrants to our #TeVirtualEvents get a full report from our Q&A exchange for you to refer back to! #TeVE#TeMasterClass
How do we combine survey questions and participant groups?
Just make sure that the SQs are relevant to ALL PG's.
Example -
PG - what is your role?
SQ - How satisfied are you "in your department" (leave "sales & marketing" out of it so that it's relevant to ALL groups. #TeVE
That's a wrap! 30 minutes well spent⚡️. Thank you to all of you who joined us today! Let us know how it goes with your new knowledge of Survey Questions and Participant Groups! #BringPeopleTogether#TeVE#TeVirtualEvents
@KafrissenKai & @EquitySupt1 with a warm welcome to all 💜 Dennis opens with wise advice from a mentor: "As a leader, stay far enough ahead so that your people know you are leading, but stay close enough that you are accessible" #TeVirtualEvents#BringPeopleTogether
@EquitySupt1 These #DEI conversations are so difficult and can quickly gain the wrong kind of attention. Dennis explains his own experience of safety being compromised for having these conversations. Cadence matters when reaching out to have these conversations!
We're talking about moving from SURE to being UNSURE. Moving from Certainty to UNCertainty.
When someone is "suffering" from certainty their mind is closed and knowing, sure that they have all the answers. Loss of humility. Loss of curiosity! #TeVE
We are gathering today for courageous conversations, by collectively #crowdsourcing intelligence from the group. We want to deliver back that intelligence as learning... in REALTIME. What can we bring to the conversation? The network! Welcome @MarkBedell_KCPS & @AskAdam3!
Thank you for the warm welcome, Andy Krenz! Thank you for recognizing that we are all coming to this conversation at different levels. We are not all in the same place but we are willing to lean into these difficult conversations.💜 #BringPeopleTogether#Leadership#EdLeaders
Sharing results back is VITAL! Today we will learn how to use the tools available to us in the Discover Dashboard to create impactful reports for all. Here's what we will be be talking about today. #BringPeopleTogether
Leader Comments - Builds a world of trust! Transforms your exchange into a meaningful two way dialogue. This helps provide clarity, show appreciation, and answer questions. SO much more than a survey 😉 #TeVirtualEvents#TeVE

What is your why? Trying to create a safer space to foster open dialogue? Creating more PD learning opportunities? A combination of both? Get clear on where your org is at is the strongest way to approach this type of #Thoughtexchange. #DEI#BringPeopleTogether
