In these regions - 27 in England and one in Northern Ireland - there are too few staff available because many employees are sick or are in self-isolation, said the Royal Mail. In some places people have been waiting for broadcasts for more than a month,
as reported by the British media. Now the fear is growing, especially among the elderly, that they will not get their appointment for a corona vaccination on time.
The CWU union and members of parliament have therefore already asked to classify postal workers as systemically relevant and to vaccinate them against Corona soon.
