Interesting observation about a manuscript that may have been written in ~1850

Remember some podcast where doubts were cast about Kautalya's authorship of #Arthashastra, because of the "Kautalya says" quotes in there.
But that is the way of Samskrta/Bharatiya/Indian texts till much later. Here is a text from ~1650, of #MummaDiChikkaBhupala of such self-ref

@sathvik_nv @acharya2 @Ashwin_K_Ash #ಅಯ್ಯೋಶಿವನೆ, ಶಂಬಾಜೋಶಿ, ಬಿಎಮ್‍ಶ್ರೀ ಅಥವಾ ಡಿಎನ್‍ಎನ್ ಅವರ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೇ ಬೆಳಗಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರಿಗೂ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದಿನಿಂದ ಈ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದವರು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ? ಹೊಸಬರ ಮಹತ್ವ ಗುರುತಿಸೋಣ. ಆದರೆ ಹಳಬರ ಹಿರಿಮೆ ಮರೆಯದಿರೋಣ. 🙏

@sathvik_nv @acharya2 @Ashwin_K_Ash ಇವತ್ತಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ , ಓದಲು ಶಂಕರ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕು ಕನ್ನಡದ್ದೇ ವ್ಯಾಕರಣ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕವೇ. ಆದರೆ , ಬಹುಪಾಲು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಲು ಬೇಕಾಗುವಂತೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಓದಲೂ ಒಂದು ಮಟ್ಟದ ತಯಾರಿ ಬೇಕು. ಅದಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಓದಿದರೆ ಕಷ್ಟ.

@sathvik_nv @acharya2 @Ashwin_K_Ash ಉದಾ: ಸಂಧಿಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೆ, ಸಮಾಸವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟುಪದ, ಕೂಡುಪದ ಎಂದು ಶಂಕರ ಭಟ್ಟರು ಹೇಳುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಾಂತಿಕಾರಿ ಹೊಸ ವಿಚಾರ ಏನೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ , ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಪಾರಿಭಾಷಿಕ ಪದ ಒಂದನ್ನು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪಾರಿಭಾಷಿಕ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಒಂದು ದಾರಿ ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದಾರಿ.ಎರಡೂ ಸರಿಯೇ.

This is exactly how the #ThaparHabibClan has perpetuated a myth of "repeated mention of killing of Dasyus in the #RgVeda".

I showed in another article how dubious was that by similar means.

ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ ಅವರ ಅಂತು ಓದಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಕುತೂಹಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಕಥೆ. ಈ ಕಥೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸ್ಯಾನ್ ಫ್ರಾನ್ಸಿಸ್ಕೋ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಬಹಳ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಶಂಕರಾಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೂ , ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಅಮರುಕಶತಕದ ಅನುವಾದಕ್ಕೂ, ಅಂತು ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗೂ ಒಂದು ಸಂಬಂಧ ಇದೆ!
