This thread started on Thursday well technically some minutes ago, but it started the moment I was robbed of my phone circa 4:15 pm 18/03/2021. Here is the deal, I placed a call through to @GloWorld and @MTNNG to block the lines on the phone circa 6:00pm same day. 1/

I relaxed, the worst is past. "Mumu me" in @lasisielenu's voice. "You ain't see nothing yet", d robbers must have been saying in their den. Well, things fall apart rather too quickly, No thanks to @IBEDC_NG I dissipated the charge on my computer. Bank can't be reached. ish! 2/

Up NEPA! power has been restored and it's 4:00am 19/3/2021, let's get online! @Google, @gmail where are you? What! @myaccessbank transaction alerts flood the inbox. Ha! e don sele. I quickly notified my wife and swung to action. 3/

Why is it hard to reach our banks urgently? Their phone kept ringing, no one picks. Well, who answers a phone this early? Wait, it's almost 6am! Anyways email is sent, I hope that it's read on time. Later on, almost 400 Naira was spent on a call to listen to lo-fi #music. 4/

I have never had cause to communicate with a lot of customer care agents like I did in the past 48 hours and they all were professional about their assignments but there are some things #customerservice can't serve. They don't make policies. 5/

I can hypothesize that #CustomerService agents' duties almost always explode after every new policy is effected. The customer service agents suffer a lot of emotional distress that should not be theirs to bear in the first place. This is why I calmly speak to them every time. 6/

I have technically lost all. Customer service couldn't save me, and it can't save you where policies should. Customer care can't care for you when policies can't. #CustomerService can only save you where a #Policy has. BVN policy shut me out of my accounts and communication. 7/

I can no longer make transactions on my bank accounts nor get connected through my phone numbers again. But criminals can and they have been able to. No thanks to BVN policy. BVN is a powerful thing, but "with great power comes great responsibility" @SpiderMan 9/

BVN shut me out but allowed criminals in. @DrIsaPantami, you've been doing great and I know you're very brilliant. With help from @GloWorld and @HerbertOWigwe's @myaccessbank can you answer why a blocked sim card is still able to get loans and buy credit cards? 10/

@DrIsaPantami I imagined if the BVN was based on the #blockchain, will it be possible for a blocked sim card to be active in some forms elsewhere? I don't think so. Sir, do you know that the SIM card that was registered to me for my BVN and NIN is recorded @GloWorld as ... 11/

There is a valid argument against #cryptocurrency and #Blockchain, which is "secrecy". We know that wickedness thrives in secrecy, okay. What should we now say of the open policies that permit crime to thrive in broad daylight? 16/

BVN is a powerful policy. Necessary. but its execution is flawed. This open policy has succeeded in taking me back to my pre-university days: No phones and no bank accounts. I can't make transactions in a modern way, plus an outstanding loan on @myaccessbank account! 17/

I can't make phone calls or receive them, no SMS or @WhatsApp communications, and worst still I can't even do a 2FA login on many platforms. Unfortunately, this can happen to you also. Password your SIMs today and you may be lucky. 18/
