Apparently there are #yyc Shoppers Locations that are giving out vaccines regardless of age or medical condition as many that they were shipped are about to expire.

Following a boatload of DM’s, we’re hearing that near expired vaccines are being provided to people regardless of age/health conditions in #yeg as well.

To be clear, we’re all for as many vaccines getting into as many arms as possible, it’s the method that we’re curious about.
Its also great to see the information that’s being shared about waitlists by people, and we would encourage people to sign up for them!

Sure would be great if the govt mentioned them a bit more though...

As an update to our thread yesterday on inconsistent vaccine administration, here’s what we’ve learned.

To start with, the criteria for who gets shots and when seems to vary wildly from location to location.

We have heard multiple reasons why “expired” vaccine is being available. Missed appointments, extra doses out of vials, vaccine becoming expired because of time out of refrigeration just being a few.

But there is excess vaccine available.

While it appears that many pharmacies are following guidelines & trying to ensure that near-expired vaccine is being given to people in groups 2B or who are also at higher risk, one thing is clear.

It is also being given to people who are healthy/have no health conditions.

It’s been implied we were duped, it’s been implied we faked it ourselves.

First of all, like we said, we made the video. It is cropped to not have the person who shared it on February 8th doxxed.

That’s not how we roll.

But it is absolutely a real video of a real shared post on a real Facebook profile.

So let’s get into what it could mean.

What’s alarming about this is that it appears to have been sponsored by the GOA for an ad campaign.

Which, would be a pretty big deal if accurate, because it would suggest that the single admin from Alberta Patriots is a GOA employee.

Of particular concern by the people who sent the DM’s was how the APA is funded and who exactly they’re advocating for...

Given a minimum income of $2000 a month.

That’s $24,000 a year.

There are about 6,000 homeless in Alberta.

That ends homelessness in Alberta.

With $1.356 billion left over

There are about 70,000 Albertans reliant on AISH.

To top them up to the same level?

That’s just over $264 million a year.

We still have over a billion dollars left.
