.@StevePriceMedia has used this article from September 2020 to back up his lies on @theprojecttv last night.

A thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️ break-down on the article and Steve's lies.

Steve's Tweeted today:

"As I said on The Project last night ADF support was offered to the Andrews Govt for quarantine from the start"

This is an entirely different argument from what he presented last night.

Support and Security are different and the Coate Report agrees.
Yesterday @StevePriceMedia was claiming that Vic didn't want the ADF to RUN quarantine. Support to Quarantine is different to RUNNING quarantine or providing SECURITY.

Steve knows he is wrong and now he is trying to change his argument from running quarantine to supporting it.
Steve refused to reply directly to this Tweet where I gave him the facts, which in my opinion tells you a lot about his character and certainly speaks volumes to problems with political commentators and journalists in Australia.

Now, before I get started on the article, it's important to note three things.

1) This article is from BEFORE The Coate Report was released.
2) Victoria did use the ADF, for door-knocking, transport etc., just not security as they were never offered for that.
3) Steve said yesterday: "I think if you read the Coate inquiry evidence you’ll see ADF was offered and rejected"

We don't use evidence submitted during inquires for conclusions. We wait for the report. 1/2
Going off selective evidence is like convicting a person of murder before the Defense even gets to make their case.

It's up to Judge Coate to look at all the evidence and make her conclusions. @StevePriceMedia should know this and he should actually read the report. 2/2
This is misleading. The ADF has been in Victoria the whole time during COVID, providing transport, door-knocking and other logistical matters.
This is not an offer of ADF. This is one person's opinion of whether the ADF were needed for hotels.

The opinion is irrelevant as the ADF were never offered for security in the first place. The ADF is constitutionally prevented from performing security enforcement
Other states, including New South Wales USED PRIVATE SECURITY! This is just poor journalism.
This email from Phil Gaetjens:
1) Is not an offer, it is a suggestion
2) Phil Gaetjens is NOT authorised to offer the ADF anyway, he is a secretary
3) We know from Linda Reynolds that the ADF was not providing hotel security
This is true but Morrison's letters never mentioned the word security. It was all about support. Again SUPPORT DOES NOT EQUAL SECURITY.

The ADF was already in Victoria providing support, these letters are purely @ScottMorrisonMP playing politics during a pandemic.
Security vs Police is an entirely different argument, The Coate Inquiry does go into this but it's irrelevant to the ADF matter.
This is just not true. The request was made but it was never signed off on (and nor would it have been). Reynolds own statement never said it was signed off and it says 'assistance' not security.
You can read @lindareynoldswa entire statement on ADF here @StevePriceMedia. Not one mention of the word security, just support and assistance.
minister.defence.gov.au/minister/lreyn…
This is a perfect example of the vicious journalism that Victoria and @DanielAndrewsMP endured last year. This quote is in reference to SECURITY only, not ADF support in general, which clearly Victoria accepted as the ADF has been here the whole time. Just not for security.
Well, that's the end of that article. Lets take a look at some more recent ones @StevePriceMedia?

theage.com.au/politics/victo…
From the above article @StevePriceMedia.
Further backed up here @StevePriceMedia, by the former Minister herself. "We can help with general duties at hotels which we have been doing but we can't sit in hallways as they have no powers to stop and apprehend.

This whole ADF argument has been a word-twisting, biased political attack from the media, interchanging support and security when convenient to try and confuse voters.

The ADF was offered and accepted for support/logistics. They were never offered for security.
These findings from the Coate Report, the above article and Reynolds' quotes occurred after that article shared by @StevePriceMedia today was published.

Perhaps this time Steve, you might reply directly and admit that you are wrong?

I received this disgusting and transphobic flyer from the @ACLobby in my letterbox today. The scare tactics are only half-truths at best. A thread. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

'Parents like you' only applies if you are a parent that is transphobic or homophobic and you try to suppress your child's sexual and/or gender identity.

For most parents, this doesn't apply. A good parent loves their child no matter their sexual orientation or gender identity.
A good parent would seek medical advice on such a matter and as Attorney-General @JaclynSymes said during the debate on this bill:

"...nothing in this bill changes the advice, support and medical treatment that a qualified medical professional deems appropriate."

Go and thumbs down and report this Sky News video for having a misleading headline.

Despite only interviewing 3 people, the title of the video claims that "most BLM protesters support street violence". This is clearly a lie.
#auspol #MurdochGutterMedia

To report, open the video, click the three dots above the describe button, click 'Report', select 'Spam or misleading', select 'Misleading text' and click 'Next' and then click 'Report.'

Don't forget to thumbs down the video also.
You can also type an explanation such as"The headline claims most BLM protesters support street violence despite only interviewing three people" or something like that.

A thread on @vanOnselenP's article today that is insensitive and entirely absent of self-awareness.

Solutions have been put forward. @TamePunk has called for a national definition on consent, many have asked for consent training in schools and the Respect@Work report has sat with Porter for a year. Look at the thread below, there are many solutions.
'Her life and death are a tragedy. Especially for her family, who have expressed concerns that, perhaps due to mental illness that included a bipolar disorder, she may have imagined the rape'

You published that @vanOnselenP, you're part of the reason why women don't come forward

A thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️ on the 55 recommendations of the Respect@Work report that @ScottMorrisonMP and his Government have ignored. #auspol #March4Justice #EnoughisEnough
humanrights.gov.au/our-work/sex-d…
The full report is titled Respect@Work: National Inquiry into Sexual Harassment in Australian Workplaces. Attorney-General @cporterwa received this report on the 29/01/20, over a year ago now. Yet he has done nothing with it.
In Commissioner @Kate_Jenkins_ forward, she reports that the Human Rights Commission has conducted for surveys since 2003. One in three people have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace over the past 5 years.

A ridiculous article from @CMscreens. The MSM defence of Leigh Sales is becoming a bit concerning. A thread. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

It's not complex at all. We want a host and program that is balanced. We want a program that holds the current Government to account, rather than the opposition. We want a program that presents corruption as a continued pattern with this Government rather than isolated events.
When Gladys lies to ICAC we don't want #abc730 to conclude she has done nothing wrong. We don't want a host that lies about being trapped in Victoria. We don't want Richard Colbeck given an interview with softball questions when he finally accepts an interview.

An unusual situation article here from Nick Tabakoff. Terrible journalism, defending terrible journalism. A short thread. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ #auspol #LeightheLiar #thisisnotjournalism

Journalists hate Twitter because they can't control the right of reply and they can't silence criticism. Twitter users are entitled to 'pile-on' whoever they want, whether it be justified (as it was in this case) or not. Image
A stupid question that had already been asked by other journalists over the weekend. Sales received the same answer that Dan had given previously! Image
