Condolences to Sanghi acquaintances,
whose loved ones have suffered in this Modi-made humanitarian crisis, however meaningfully given,
automatically turn into empty words bereft of empathetic emotions..

I intend to show empathy for them...but my voice falters.👇
Each time everytime I remember the phrase,
लगेंगी आग तो आएंगे कईं घर ज़द में
यहाँ पे सिर्फ हमारा मक़ान थोड़ी है
👇
These were the same privileged people who applauded Demonetisation, who were unaffected by flawed GST, who were unnerved after Kashmir's fate was sealed by Article 370 revocation, who sent 'hum honge kamayab' forwards after Phulwama, who voted Modi in 2019 in large numbers, 👇
who criticised Shaheen Bagh & other anti-CAA protestors, who shared WA forwards of Tablighi last year, etc etc etc & who are ever eager to protect Modi from criticism...& equally eager to say, 'if not Modi, who?’ by mocking Rahul Gandhi.
👇
These are the same people who suddenly get disinterested in politics when I send them articles by the global media exposing Modi's gigantic failures & his autocratic regime.

I wish to show empathy for these friends/relatives...
& I do mean good for them..👇
I feel sad when I remember that these were the same people who way back in 2012, mocked MMS by calling him lame duck, who showed great concern for the state of affairs of our nation, who exclaimed, 'काय होणार या देशाचं काही कळत नाही'👇
and all of their concern led them to heavy criticism of Congress's corrupt policies exposed by the then media.

Come 2014, they assumed bhaktship....
In 2019, they turned apolitical & secretly voted for BJP....👇
They belong to d privileged class who woke up to a rude shock, their privileges won't fetch them a single bed in any hospital, or their breathing might stop in absence of access to a single oxygen cylinder.
How I wish I could say to them,
बात निकलेगी तो फिर दूर तलक जाएंगी 👇
Excuse me for this long rambling.
Btw India "recorded" 3.62 lakh new #positive #corona cases yesterday amidst its huge underreporting!

"Oh, yes, that’s one thing which I do regret. Yes, you are right. You see, at that time, what happened was—and I didn’t realise it because I was not watching it closely enough—is that this India Against Corruption movement was heavily propped up by the BJP and the RSS."
"This became clear later on. Unfortunately that movement led indirectly to the rise of Narendra Modi because it destroyed the Congress."
"It helped the BJP and Modi to come to power, who have emerged as far greater threats to the country, to our democracy, to our whole culture, than the Congress could have been, or was."

a 4 hour notice of #Demonetisation left lakhs of small businessmen begging in banks for depositing & then withdrawing their own hard-earned money./2
Modi has used this shock and awe policy to leave #Kashmir in seige & let #Kashmiris bleed.
His "suddennness" of Demonetisation left the economy in shambles far before covid hit our country. /3

Barring 1or 2 States in India, every State has fcuked up with #COVID19 tackling due to unplanned lockdown, messy implementation, inadequate funds, no consideration for poor
+ our Cent. Govt is fcuking up with the sinking economy.
+ our neighbours are scaring the sh*t out of us.
+ Modi govt is continuing with its theatrics and propaganda rubbing salt & mirchmasala on our wounds.

We are a fcuked up nation.
We will expose ourselves with our rising covid cases soon.

What can we expect from a PM who propagated the foolish theory of thali banging in the midst of 12 hour Janta curfew on 22/3 when we had not even started our covid battle. Whose efforts were we applauding at that stage?
What did we bang our thalis for?
What were we celebrating?
