#COVID19 shows that information & data are 🔑 to support:
🔸academics, researchers & industry in dev. vaccines & therapeutics
🔸regulators & health authorities' decision-making
🔸healthcare professionals' treatment decisions
🔸public confidence in deployed vaccines & therapeutics
To ensure public health interest, clinical trial reports should be published without redaction of confidential information. Both positive & negative clinically relevant data should be made available, while only personal data & individual patient data should be redacted.
Increased transparency & access to clinical data for all new medicines & vaccines would improve:
✅ the overall scientific evidence base
✅ public trust
✅ data integrity & quality
✅ the pace of scientific advancement

The latest data from the State of World’s Midwifery report shows the shortage of #midwives is most critical in 8⃣8⃣ low- & middle- income countries where 9⃣5⃣% of 🌐 maternal/newborn deaths & stillbirths occur.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, governments must ensure #midwives are protected with adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) & prioritized for #COVID19 vaccines.
