Five agents are standing on the line (the place where the Botts Dots mark the border) staring people down as they cross, while only three gates are open to check cars. There are at least 10 gates for traffic.
We finally got through after ⌛️SIX HOURS⌛️ maps.google.com/maps?q=32.5618… on 5/9/21 04:10 heading 314° about 66mph 522.8ft above sea level.
Sure, my wife and I are now more motivated to get Global Entry or SENTRI cards from here on out, but that gate wasn't open Saturday Night / Sunday Morning at Otay.
Usually, we enter at San Ysidro, but that same site reported that all of the gates were closed from 6 - 8 p.m.
This looked like a @cpb work slowdown or sick out. The agents wanted to blow off their sworn duties. Don't tell me that this had anything to do with the pandemic: the agency that invented the phrase "hielera" doesn't care about #PublicHealth.
You need to get control of the #CPB. It is a rogue agency service themselves first and #xenophobes who would never cross any of the U.S. international #borders second.

Look at his profile: not one original thought as long as he has held the account. Not the hallmark of a guy who would choose to have a good faith argument about the #FrenchLaundry incident.
Here is my "yes, I believe that The Sun rises in The East" statement: Newsom was horribly hypocritical having that dinner party. There is nothing good about it. It's a magnet for the criticism of right wing ideologues like the outgoing mayor of #SanDiego and others.
It is a distraction from the conduct each person needs to adhere to to slow the #COVID19Pandemic
here is the "yes,l agree that the sun rises in the east" disclaimer: no one should have to be shooting cops, cops shouldn't have to be shooting others (but there is a lot more to cops using deadly force)
But the way that @CBSNews@CBS8 & @nbcsandiego are covering the #ComptonShooting of LASD deputies lays bare broadcast #journalism's dependence on quick, easy content from reliable sources at the expense giving viewers a fuller context.
