Here is my "yes, I believe that The Sun rises in The East" statement: Newsom was horribly hypocritical having that dinner party. There is nothing good about it. It's a magnet for the criticism of right wing ideologues like the outgoing mayor of #SanDiego and others.

It is a distraction from the conduct each person needs to adhere to to slow the #COVID19Pandemic

ℹ️ wearing a mask over one's nose and mouth in public spaces
ℹ️ washing hands often
ℹ️ practicing all forms of social distancing
Obsessing over or making political hay of one bad event distracts other less disciplined Californians from those practices...

Even though @GavinNewsom took his eye off of the ball, he is the only governor California will have during the #CoronavirusPandemic. Pragmatic citizens understand that and expect him to never stumble like that again.

That also means not setting rocks for him to trip over.
