NYT minimized #IDF intel on the tunnels, showing only 10 secs of a skinny non-threatening #Hamas tunnel.
What you DIDN'T show would have killed your narrative.
On June 5, 2021 - BEFORE @evanhill tweeted his search for tech bomb expert to help him on NYT project - Iran's Mehr & Qatar's Al Jazeera broadcast a vid of #Hamas' tunnels w Command, Control, Plan & Operation chambers!
Can't deny a legit target. en.mehrnews.com/news/174409/VI…
3/ NYT apparently had NO U.S. staff in #Gaza & relied on Gaza photographers & "fixers" who are owned or threatened by #Hamas.
Of course they took no pics/videos of Wahda St tunnel.
BUT, Al Jazeera had no problem, as these screenshots show - large chambers, stockpiles of weapons.
4/ Was this THE Wahda St command post? There's no way of knowing or when the vid was made.
But such tunnels and chambers were located all over -- and UNDER -- #Gaza. @nytimes had no interest in showing this threat to Israelis, but most of all, to Gazans just meters above.
5/ With no NYT team in Gaza, who did interviews, legwork, photos, aerial videos, get permits from police (Hamas)? @evanhill, producer & narrator who probably wasn't in Gaza since his Al Jaz & HRW days, gave credits.
Here's one: Mustafa Thraya, Pal Min of Endowments & Rel Affairs
6/ Who filmed & produced the @nytimes hatchet piece w everyone stuck in NY?
Here's a clue. Soliman Hijjy appears on this credit slide THREE times as a producer, cinematographer & aerial cinematog. Here's Hijjy, @Evanhill's main man in #Gaza.

Thread. 1/ More questions for @nytimes@herbertnyt@evanhill
Hill amassed a massive team for his hit job on #Israel. What did the NYT spend?
$2 million for the intensive month-long operation?
No one could get into #Gaza. How'd you pull that off? Who interviewed, film, research?
At end of his list of staff, Hill thanks UNRWA & a Palestinian human rights group.
Were they his foot soldiers on the ground (ON, not UNDER to investigate #Hamas tunnels.)
Another essential group was necessary, but not credited.
.@NYTimes produced its war film vs #Israel that it's been working on for wks. The storyline: Israel used US weapons to bomb Gaza apt buildings & kill civilians.
I saw this coming. See thread.
Gaza’s Deadly Night: How Israeli Airstrikes Killed 44 People. nytimes.com/video/world/mi…
2/ The NYT ignored proof of tunnels & command center that CREATED A SINKHOLE.
3 wks ago NYT advertised for a tekkie who could help produce this video.
NYT ignored Hamas' reax to question about a command post, but bored in on IDF response.
Film's producer has HRW & AJ "history."
3/ .@herbertnyt How come WSJ asks #Hamas but you can't? "When asked if a tunnel was under Wahda St or if Hamas has tunnels under residential 'hoods, Basem Naim, Hamas office of intern'l rel:“How to defend ourselves, w tunnels or w/out, where to have the tunnels, is our choice.”
Rumors abound.
Coincidence? A flash heat wave was felt in #Israel yesterday, as if the fires of hell were stoked with a new source of fuel. 🔥 1/ Thread: The #Nasrallah Obituary Album
2/ Nasrallah Obit Album.
Israel will regret that #Nasrallah died NOT at its hand.
"They Were Only Children." I have never seen worse anti-Israel propaganda disinformation than this @nytimes piece in my 40+ yrs of defending #Israel in media trenches.
Every child's death is a disaster, but the Times presents a blood libel vs Israel. 1/ nytimes.com/interactive/20…
2/ "At least 66 children under age 18 were killed in #Gaza," the NYT writes with pics of angelic kids. Per bios, most were killed by "Israeli airstrikes."
"At least 2 kids in Gaza "MAY HAVE BEEN KILLED killed when Palestinian militants fired a rocket at Israel that fell short"
3/ Let's deal with #Hamas rockets 1st.
15% of 4,000 rockets fell shot & landed in #Gaza, that's = to 600 deadly bombs. Gaza isn't the densest spot on earth, but so many Hamas bombs falling can't miss Palestinians.
This is what a suicide rocket looks like
1/#HamasAttack Reports of Hamas flying drones against Israel. I've been waiting for this. Hamas has been training to use suicide drones & for spying.
Here's 1st of a thread.
1 #Iran-designed Ababil.
2 Quad-drones used for spying. Used by "photographer" during fence rioting
2/ How does #Hamas get its quad-drones? These models were smuggled in through crossing pts from Israel as "toys."
Besides spying, drones like this were used by ISIS to drop grenades on coalition forces.
Hamas had a drone lab in Tunisia w a drone wizard (who met an untimely end).
3/ That's no innocent toy deployed in Iraq!
Don't forget, even balloons have been weaponized by #Hamas.
1/ The #HamasAttack on #Israel is reinforced this morning by the noxious 2-pronged NYT attack by @PeterBeinart (Palestinians Deserve to Return Home) & @NickKristof (Your Taxes in Israel).
Both see the Sheikh Jarrah land dispute as part of the original sin.
Proof they're wrong.
2/ This pic was taken in front of #SheikhJarrah in Apr 1918 on Jewish Lag B'Omer holiday. The kids are returning to homes in #Jerusalem's Old City from shrine of Tomb of Shimon Hatzaddik. The large empty area behind them is Sheikh Jarrah.
Jews owned land there, near the tomb.
3/ This pic was taken ~1955 entitled "Threshing floor in Jerusalem, #SheikhJarrah Quarter" (under Jordanian administration). Threshing floor = empty.
BTW: The road that veers to the right goes to Mt Scopus. It's where the Arabs massacred 78 Jews in the Hadassah Hospital Convoy.
