Sanyal says committee was divided into 5 or 6 teams and each team visited different places.

Sanyal says even he was not given copy of report since NHRC is under impression it has to be given only to court first.

Advocate General Kishore Dutta says State provided all facilities as directed by court including place of stay. Some of them have already gone back to Delhi after completing work here.

Order: In terms of our order dated June 18, the NHRC committee has submitted its interim report in sealed cover.

We have opened the report.

Before we pass any order we feel it appropriate to go through the report along with annexures.

NHRC counsel has sought further time to carry out investigation.
