Travel Advice

Please be aware of the new arrangements for travel from Britain to Ireland from today 19th July👇(thread).

Visit Gov.ie for more info & be aware that the #COVID19 pandemic means that information may change at short notice: gov.ie/en/publication…
Travellers arriving in Ireland from GB do not need a pre-departure PCR test or to quarantine on arrival if they have valid proof that: they are fully vaccinated, or have recovered from Covid-19 in the past 180 days.
The NHS Covid Pass, vaccination status letter or paper vaccine card will all be accepted as proof of vaccination.
You are regarded as fully vaccinated:

✔️7 days after second dose Pfizer
✔️14 days after second dose Moderna
✔️15 days after second dose AstraZeneca
✔️14 days after one (only) dose Janssen

All batch numbers of AstraZeneca will be accepted incl. 4120Z001, 4120Z002 & 4120Z003. Image
Travellers who are not fully vaccinated will need a pre-departure PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in IE. 14 days home quarantine will apply but travellers can end quarantine with a negative result from a PCR test (provided by @HSELive) taken 5 days after arrival.
Children between the ages of 12 & 17 will be required to have a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Ireland, unless they have valid proof of vaccination or recovery (as above). Children under 12 do not need a PCR test prior to travelling to Ireland.
Children of any age, travelling with accompanying vaccinated or recovered adults will not be required to self-quarantine post arrival. However, where one accompanying adult needs to self-quarantine, then all children must also self-quarantine.
Before arriving in Ireland, all passengers will still need to complete the online Covid-19 Passenger Locator Form. This will be checked by your air or sea carrier before departure:

gov.ie/en/publication…
Individuals travelling from Great Britain to Ireland via Northern Ireland should also complete the online Covid-19 Passenger Locator Form and follow the guidance above.
#Covid-19 means that the situation continues to be fluid and travel rules may be subject to change at short notice. Please check the latest guidance, available on Gov.ie/travel, before you go.
