2) Since that video premiered last year, I would add that we should now use PREMIUM high filtration KN95 / KF94 / FFP2 masks or better. Many countries in Europe already had mandated these premium masks in Jan 2021 already. We should too, especially when many others don’t mask.
3) Another strategy is to DOUBLE MASK. I first recommended it in October 2020, and the anti-mask haters came out in force trashing me… they also trashed Biden too, but hey…
4) Naturally, the CDC being the CDC, they were slow to adopt (especially under Trump CDC), but the @CDCgov finally came out recommending DOUBLE MASKING in February 2021– naturally 4 months after I recommended it. But anti maskers still hated it.
5) Yes yes I know getting people to wear 2 masks is hard, but the issue is the leakage of 1 masks. So the CDC technically says either 2 masks or 1 surgical that is knotted on the side. But this is inferior compared to 2 cloth+surgical masks. This is why I recommend PREMIUM mask.
6) Who wears it also matters—receiver (inhaler) masking is not as good as source (exhale) masking. Both masking is best but if only 1 person masks, then the aerosol source masking is best. But this often doesn’t happen due to anti-maskers. Thus, given that, PREMIUM mask needed!
7) One thing that I’m absolutely certain about is that kids need to not only mask, but need premium high filtration masks like this kids KF94 mask — which even have adjustable ear loops for a tighter fit. Adult masks are just too big and lose for kids under 13.
8) so I ordered these KF94 masks for kids under 10…. They fit my kid pretty well. My son likes it. The one with the adjustable ear loops is the smaller kids one. It’s very similar to the adult KF94 (larger one) other than the size and ear loops. kollecteusa.com/products/bluna…

10) That said, even better than KN95 and KF94 are the higher grade N95 respirator masks. They were hard to obtain last year, but more common now. Your local Home Depot has some but another good source is nonprofit @projectn95, which stocks premium masks. homedepot.com/b/Safety-Equip…

They also don’t sell valved masks. Never buy masks with valves for a pandemic.
12) But in addition to vaccines and masks is the EVER CRITICAL issue of adequate ventilation + air disinfection in schools and indoor environments. I think the greatest guideline CDC has issued during the pandemic was recommending HEPA filters and UV for schools! See 🧵 below 👇

2) moreover. The enhanced booster effects begin being apparent after day 12, increasing higher effects starting even day 10 after the shot perhaps.
3) most were not that elderly either 60-69. I’m also glad to see they enrolled 14% Arab population. The bulk were vaccinated in early February. Thinking of all the people who got vaccines before March that could benefit from this. Image
