It should (again) be headline news that #Covid19 is so out of control in the UK.

It is the 3rd time since the start of the Pandemic I've started a thread like this. The last two each ended in an unnecessary 40,000 deaths.

If you think vaccines make this ok.

To be clear there are no laurels to rest on in the UK as far as vaccines are concerned. The days where the UK could claim to be ahead of Europe on vaccine deployment are long behind us.

You think leaving the EU gave us an advantage? You've missed it meant less honest reporting.

Can we argue our exposure to the Delta variant is what's causing our

No, that looks pretty much identical these days.

So if we're vaccinated less, have the same Delta rate and many more cases can we rely on the fact that the DEATH rate is lower under the vaccine regime.

Or as Tory MPs told us that we've "broken the link with death"

NO. DEATHS ARE FAR WORSE IN THE UK. 2-3 X EU per citizen rate

UK tests are an unmanaged scatter gun.
Ineffective.
Less predictive than Europe.

OK but this is the new vaccinated #COVID19. It's under control, we're not putting pressure on the NHS when we know that flu season is coming, right?

Hospital cases are the worst in Europe AND people who need hospital after infection is far worse than Europe

Maybe the UK has some odd way of reporting #Covid19, it's a difference in the technique, Doctors over report it in the UK? people who would have died anyway are reported as #CoronavirusPandemic deaths?

The way to rule these all out is to look at excess deaths.

So what is going on in UK? Why are more innocent people still dying here? Why does our Government have more blood on its hands than any other country in Europe?

Why did reports show #covid19 to be the worst public health failure of all time?

Managing a virus is not about one thing (vaccine), it's many things (eg. effective tests, quarantines)
