Convince me that artificial reproductive technologies (ARTs) r the right choice for society & individuals to pursue rather than reducing environmental & other risk factors for #infertility & promotion of ethical #fostering & #adoption. pbs.org/wgbh/nova/vide…
Convince me that having biological issue is worth ART's tremendous expense & medical risks.
If you tell me infertility is causing marital discord, I tell you that that marriage may have bigger problems.
In addition #artificialreproductivetechnologies ARTs open many ethical issues, such as genetic engineering & social equity. Why should states in USA subsidize ARTs through its Medicaid programs which hardly cover essential needs of the poor?
At about minute 28, the documentary begins using #feminist & #genderaffiriming arguments. I understand the argument that freezing embryos allows women to reproduce their biological issue at a time in their lives more suitable to raising a child. Wouldn't it be better to transform
society to support women who choose to have children at any point? Regarding the transgendered man who went off testosterone therapy to resume ovulation & had his embryo fertilized with his male spouse's sperm, I again don't understand the demand that society subsidize this.
At about min 38, #documentary now talks about #surrogacy & pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.
Now, the documentary is promoting use of mosaic embryos.
Some paths to biological parenthood should not be trodden.

Several candidates have qualified to be on the ballot for the election November 2, 2021. Voters will be forced to vote for 1, trying to guess on the outcome to make sure that they don't cast their votes for a candidate who won't win. #gapol
They will wonder if their votes for their preferred candidate will make it more likely that the candidate they dislike the most will win. The candidates will run their campaigns to disparage the other candidates, not seeking to be the 2nd & 3rd choices of voters. #gapol
Was watching #CLEvsKC#KCvsCLE & realized that there's more accountability in sports broadcasting for athletes who make mistakes than for politicians who led #USA into criminal, brutal wars in #Afghanistan#Iraq & elsewhere.
The @Browns punter mishandled a snap, & @Chiefs got ball deep in Cleveland territory & scored a touchdown. Immediately, broadcast feed focused on the punter, I assume so that angry Browns fans could see if he felt sufficient shame that his mistake cost his team dearly.
Meanwhile, as people in #USA go without because the government doesn't have enough money to meet their basic needs, as its military murders people in Somalia, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, etc, the media completely neglect the politicians, generals & pundits who
I'm as big a hater as the next hater, but even I want @DjokerNole to win @usopen#tennis championship & complete the calendar grand slam.
#1, no man has accomplished this for more than 5 decades. Rooting against Novak at this point is like rooting against the next interplanetary rover just because you don't like the nation which launched it. This is an amazing, inspirational feat. Let's hope Djokovic can do it.
#2, yes, Novak isn't as polished & smooth as Federer & Nadal. But 99% of humanity aren't as smooth as those two. I love @RafaelNadal's honesty, openness & humility. I love @rogerfederer's grace on the court & ease navigating the press & corporate sponsorships & everyday life.
