I’m back in #Ottawa after more than a week & while I’m still giving far fewer f*cks than normal, I can’t ignore what’s going on forever

1/ I’ve never seen so much ink spilled (digital or otherwise) over a fabricated crisis that stemmed from fabricated differences among Canadians

Let’s recall that this #TruckersConvoy started because there were reports of empty shelves caused by #vaccinemandates at the border

That was clearly a deliberate fabrication, border wait times remained normal across Canada during that time

And let’s recall that our Government got a lot of grief back in late 2020 for some perceived delay of the #COVID19 vaccines arriving in Canada

The differences among Canadians is minuscule across the political spectrum when it comes to #COVID19 restrictions, we all want life to return to normal, that’s the goal of vaccination, & we knew it would never get to 100% so stop thinking it should or could

Ultimately, we’re all mad at something that doesn’t care one way or the other about our feelings, or our freedoms, the virus

We’re fabricating things to be mad at, China, the media, politicians, that neighbour who wears their mask a tiny bit wrong

And don’t forget about inflation, we’re being warned about everything getting more expensive, another fabricated crisis

I’m old enough to remember real inflation in Canada, and double digit mortgage rates

But now the crisis is real

Our borders are barricaded, our cities are under siege

Shelves will be empty, things will get more expensive, for all of us, protesters and protest haters alike
