Govt portal without trained and committed manpower is like a gun without bullets. You can use it for showcase only without any actual benefit or purpose. But @ODRIndia Portal responds back in 24 hours and resolve all disputes in 3 months odrindia.in/odr/. #DigitalIndia
Interoperability and technology neutrality are two other major problems with Indian govtś portals. They are build for a specific purpose and specific model only and cannot operate in conjunction with other technologies and portals, including simple e-mails. #DigitalIndia@PTLB
Take the examples of @RBI (Banking Ombudsman) and @DelhiPolice (Case Reporting). Both failed on the front of acknowledgement, reporting, pursuing and taking actual action. One sided communication is the main feature of all Govt portals in India and that is terrible. #DigitalIndia
Also political parties like @BJP4India, @INCIndia, @AamAadmiParty, etc lack technological capabilities (except limited extent of IT Cells for social media purposes). Recognition of @StreamiSchool is pending in Delhi for past 1 year without any communication. #DigitalIndia@PTLB
We are now analysing all cases of bad governance and bad #EGovernance individually. We hope this would help Indian Govt to improve its governance and services so that India can be a #DigitalEconomy. We hope all would cooperate with us in this regard. #DigitalIndia#IndiaAt75
Thread about @DelhiPolice giving first hand account how it handles online complaints, FIRs, police investigations, etc
. Delhi Police is a very competent police force and we have total faith in it. But there is always room for improvements. #DigitalIndia
So far @DelhiPolice has failed to show any sign of adoption of technology for e-delivery of services. Both Delhi Police and office of the Commissioner of Delhi Police have not yet acknowledged receipt of ODR Request of @ODRIndia. Sad position of #DigitalIndia. @CPDelhi
Another showcase piece of Indian Govt is the Banking Ombudsman Scheme of @RBI. See this thread about the ground level reality of digital preparedness and technology adoption at the RBI level
The @DelhiPolice has shown no inclination to use technology and private #AccessToJustice initiatives like @ODRIndia. So far Delhi Police and the office of Commissioner of Police have failed to even communicate
The @RBI may be good at banking but it is very poor at adoption of technology and coordination with other private #AccessToJustice initiatives like @ODRIndia. RBI would neither resolve the issue itself nor let others do so
Opening this thread to give first hand account how @RBI handles online complaints, banking ombudsman cases, etc. This thread would discuss about the ODR Request created against @ICICIBank, to which RBI and ICICI Bank are parties. #DigitalIndia@DasShaktikanta@FinMinIndia@PTLB
As almost 2 months have elapsed without even acknowledgement, it is safe to presume that Banking Ombudsman system of @RBI has collapsed and is an ineffective, time consuming and unproductive option. The @odrindia resolves such issues within 3 months. #DigitalIndia@DasShaktikanta
Opening this thread to give first hand account how @DelhiPolice handles online complaints, First Information Reports (FIRs), police investigations, etc. This thread would discuss about the ODR Request created against Mr. M. Kumar, to which Delhi Police is a party. #DigitalIndia
I have sent all relevant and concerned details of the ODR Request to you with complete ODR Request through DM. We hope @DelhiPolice would cooperate with @odrindia Portal to do complete justice. #DigitalIndia#IndiaAt75#LegalTech
Let us discuss about the possible use of Nuclear weapons in the #RussiaUkraine crisis. Russian President Putin has put Nuclear weapons on high alert anticipating involvement of NATO and this has happened when peace talks are due. #DigitalIndia#Russian#Ukraine@P4LOIndia
In 2018, President Putin commented that "…if someone decides to annihilate Russia, we have the legal right to respond. Yes, it will be a catastrophe for humanity and for the world. But I'm a citizen of Russia and its head of state. Why do we need a world without Russia in it?"
