#Taliban announced 28 new #appointments incl. a minister, deputy ministers, senior military officials& senior judges.
As always, all of them are Mullahs.
I will list some of them (on purpose) here: 1. Saranwal (Attorney) Abdul Wali, as Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs.
2. Makhdoom Abdul Salam Saadat as Deputy Minister of Labor&Social Affairs. 3. #Qari_Salahuddin_Ayoubi, Deputy Minister of Planning& Policy, for the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation& Development.
Note:
Makhdoom Salam (Baghlan) was Minister of the same Ministry under TB in 1990s...
...Qari Salahuddin Ayoubi, an Uzbek, is a controversial figure among the senior non-Pashton TB. In 2020, after Doha deal he wanted to separate his way from the mainstream TB, but arrested by ISI in Quetta and forced to stay with the group.
See report here: dailytimes.com.pk/696521/senior-…
4. Haji Mali Khan as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, under the Ministry of Defense.
Note:
Mali Khan is a senior member of #Haqqani Network, who was released alongside Anas Haqqani, from Bagram prison, in exchange for two AUAF lecturers in 2019, to pave way for Doha agreement.
5. Mawlawi Attaullah Omari as Deputy Minister of Technology and Logistics, for Ministry of Defense. 6. Sheikh Syed Rasool as the Chairman of the Supreme Audit Office.
Note:
Omari (Uzbek), the ex-commander of Mazar Corps, was instrumental for the TB leadership, in supressing ...
...the protests of Uzbeks in the north, against arrest of Makhdom Alem, early this year.
Sheikh Syed Rasool, a Pashton from Nangarhar, was a member of the Taliban's negotiation team in Qatar.
TB leadership want to satisfy the movement's members, by giving them govt. positions.

On Sunday morning, the #Taliban searched our house in #Kabul. No Imam (prayer leader) or Wakil-e Guzar accompanied the Taliban, but as it was house-to-house #search in the entire street, it is clear that those two couldn't go to each house.
Three TB for ca. 30 minutes searched...
#Taliban:
"The 3 branches of the IEA security forces (Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior & General Directorate of Intelligence), under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Defense, Mullah Mohammad Fazil Mazloom, launched a large-scale clearing operation in Kabul&several...
...other nearby provinces today.
The purpose of the operations is to arrest& eliminate all robbers, kidnappers, evil elements& other criminals in the mentioned areas, who have already been detected & surveillanced by security forces.
People should cooperate with security forces."
Civilian houses in the north & east of #Kabul, were searched by the #Taliban today.
Pashtons dominated east of Kabul (Hootkhel, Qala-e Zaman Khan, Arzan Qimat & Karta-e Naw) was the old & Tajiks dominated north of Kabul (Khairkhana, Sar-e Kotal..) is the new safe heaven of #ISKP.
The #Taliban Interior Ministry in a letter, instructed Afghanistan border police, to #prevent_the_evacuation of Afghan citizens by foreign countries.
The ministry's letter states that border control officials are obliged to prevent evacuation operations by the US& NATO countries.
When #Taliban's spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid was asked about #evacuation & specifically the above mentioned letter, he said that "we have banned the evacuation process until make sure that what fate awaits #Afghans who are already evacuated. Over 5,000 evacuated Afghans are ...
...still kept in wretched conditions in temporary camps in Doha. Also, many Afghans in Turkey are living in dire situation with unclear future. We can't put more Afghans at risk&won't allow others misuse them. #Protecting Afghans is the responsibility of the government (#IEA) ...
A new group, Tehreek-e-Taliban India (#TTI), announced its existence yesterday.
"Taliban is a common name& it has nothing to do with the Taliban in Afghanistan or Pakistan. The Indian Taliban is made up of Muslim scholars& created for peace in India & Kashmir," the group tweeted.
On the bases of human sympthey, the newly established movement in #India, in a tweet warned U.S. of consequences, if give #AFG money to the 9/11 victims:
"If Biden gave the #frozen_money of Afghanistan to the victims of 9/11. In India, Americans will face a strong TTI response."
While "Twitter has received request by Indian law enforcement agencies to shut down newly formed Tehreek-e-Taliban India (TTI) account", Pakistani media blamed Indian government for forming the new movement, TTI "to shield state terrorism against Muslims". tribune.com.pk/story/2343103/…
#Breaking: #Taliban spokesman said that 40 people were #arrested in #Balkh today for trying #to_fly_abroad#illegally.
"They were temporarily detained for questioning and later most of them were released. Only, the #women whose families (male family members) didn't come yet ...
...to take them home, are still in custody. Arrangements are made for them (for the women who are still in custody) in the women's detention center."
Note:
This is the first time that the Taliban officially confirmed that they barred people from going (illegally???) abroad.
It is more likely that the #Taliban have arrested& prevented from flying out, those Afghans who are in the #evacuation& rescue program of the international community. The Afghans, who are allegedly at risk of persecution from the TB& get evacuated without proper travel documents.
Local sources in #Jawzjan told me that at 9:30 a.m. today, in the #Khamyab district, on the #AFG-#Turkmenistan border, the #Taliban started clash with Turkmen border guards.
At least, 4 Turkmen soldiers were reportedly #killed& two Turkmen border posts were set on fire by the TB.
A source told me that as a revenge for the previous killing of civilians by Turkmen guards, today initially the #Taliban targeted a #Turkmenistan border guards' vehicle patrolling in the area, burning the vehicle& killing those on board. Then both sides clashed with each other...
...The killing of Afghan civilians by Turkmenistan guards in the border area in previous days took place, when Afghans were collecting a precious plant (Shirin Boya) in the area.
Mullah Jura, a Turkmen from Jawzjan, is the #Taliban's commander for #AFG border forces in the area.
