Or better yet P100 respirators. Then the backlash started. On the 27th I was openly mocked online by an ID doc I had worked with. It snowballed. I was trying to get anyone to listen. I was treated like I was nuts. All I was advising was to stock up on PPE & be prepared

I advised that we figure out a system for increasing mask longevity/reuse at my hospital system. I was dismissed as “reactionary”. The ICU attending & ID MDs went on international vacations in February & March. The hospital admin ignored this. I started posting videos on PPE

I then became involved in a project to help with mask reuse. It was co-opted by people with 💵 as the end goal. They milked that project for all it was worth. They built giant UV “sterilizers” even though I provided data showing that UV destroys polypropylene.

I designed a cheap mildly heated dehydration box that was dismissed. I made a box fan HEPA filter design to improve filtration. It was dismissed as “unprofessional”. All the while Covid started to rip through the country. Hospital administrations did nothing but hemmed & hawed

@CDCgov & @WHO did NOTHING. While this overwhelmed hospitals & killed MDs & RNs being given paper surgical masks. It’s criminal to watch people die from something as preventable as a mask! Where is their duty to care? Are hospitals going to be held responsible for blowing it?!

I finally had enough. I was harassed, mocked, derided, & maligned professionally. I have never once changed my stance or messaging. I have provided free graphics, mask guides, & USABLE & ACTIONABLE info. Yet here we are going into year 3. A million+ people have died in the US

I am done with medicine. Period. Anyone willing to do the right thing is hounded out & mocked. @DrEricDing sound familiar? Do people realize our healthcare system is collapsing? The politicians & news stations have this on their heads. The public? I am sorry you were let down

HOWEVER, wake up. Our country is broke. The healthcare system is collapsing. X2 the # people are dying DAILY from #COVID19 as died all last year from the flu. #LongCovid affects about 20% of those infected. It’s brain damage, clots, diabetes, infertility. #MaskUp #CovidIsNotOver
