In the absence of any formally announced orders for Internet shutdowns to the public before or after a network disruption, documenting these restrictions is important.

SFLC.in has been documenting the impact of Internet shutdowns by recording the disruption caused by them in the day to day life of citizens. Continuing our efforts to create awareness around Internet Shutdowns and the impact they have on citizens.

We believe that #InternetShutdowns cannot be used as a tool to suppress dissent & documenting stories of citizens suffering from the devastating effects of the Kill switch is the only way to measure the destruction an Internet Shutdown can have on citizens and their livelihood.
