I'm getting tired of non-#disabled people writing about living through stay at home orders, when disabled people who live in their homes have been dismissed, insulted and ignored.
A Thread.
1 Firstly, I absolutely empathize with every non-disabled person staying at home right now.
It's not fun at all, it's not a vacation.
It's isolating and not so great for one's mental health.
When was the last time you read a piece about this from a homebound #disabled person?
2 #Disabled ppl who can't get out have always been called lazy, mooches, we're just on vacation, we're lowlifes because we might need to rest during the day.
We're sitting on the couch eating bon bons.
Is that what you all are doing now that you need to stay at home? I doubt it.

Remarkable that many of the leads on the #coronavirus task force and newspaper editorials - including Gates, Bavari, Deszak, and Fauci - predicted a deadly coronavirus pandemic in October of 2019

I am sorry, I shouldn't say this - It upsets the #ChinaLiedPeopleDied narrative
Did #Q tell you any of this?

No - Q is brought to you by the same germ lovers that profit from geopolitical conflict

Instead, Q is talking about caves with millions of children who have been missing
Not only did Gates + friends predict the #coronavirus #pandemic ...

1) They predicted it would be related to SARS
2) They predicted HIV medicine would help
3) They predicted the contagion period
4) They predicted it would come from bats in China…

Just a reminder that while he was downplaying the #Pandemic , Trump took off for two days, flew to India for pep rally with Modi. #70Days #TrumpPandemicFailure #StayHome…
Trump’s India trip the last week of February is interesting to me because...he’s now begging Modi for #Hydroxychloroquine ⤵️⤵️⤵️ Modi banned its export on 3/25/20.

As an ER doc for 20 years I thought I'd seen it all: outbreaks, death, you name it. But this #pandemic is the worst. Due to mass layoffs, millions will now lose insurance & not get treatment, causing them to die and/or spread it.
Here's what @realdonaldtrump is missing... (1/13)
As layoffs continue, even more will lose their health insurance. What happens to them? After you lose your job, you get 60 days to enroll in plans on the exchanges. But many of them have high deductible & high co-pays, making them unaffordable to many who just lost a job. (2/13)
With #COVID19 we're seeing many patients with serious respiratory symptoms requiring hospitalization & even life support. There will undoubtedly be many without insurance who won't seek treatment even though they need it. Therefore, there are a few things we must do ASAP. (3/13)

Look for instances of Trump meeting w/ anyone from #Novartis at #Davos around 1/22/20 - where Trump was still downplaying the #Pandemic.

"The president took a dinner w/Novartis' CEO-to-be Vas Narasimhan, Bayer CEO Werner Baumann and other execs to "share our economic success story and to encourage them to continue to invest in America," Gary Cohn told reporters..."

5/9/18: " Novartis' statement, they're expressly trying to deflect any blame away from the new CEO (Narasimhan), that met with Trump in Davos:

1) On Saturday, Quebec’s chief public health officer confirmed what was probably obvious to all by now in this province. There is now community transmission of the #coronavirus not just in Montreal but all over the province. In this thread, I revisit the topic of testing.
2) First, though, let me address Montreal, Canada’s #COVID19 hot spot. On Saturday afternoon, Montreal reported two more outbreaks of #COVID19 in long-term care centres, raising the current active total to 24.
3) Montreal also reported a big jump in cases: 424. But I would now like to address the issue of testing. Let us go back in time to March 9. This is when Health Minister Danielle McCann held a news conference in Montreal to announce the #COVID19 screening clinics.

direct hit, IMO.
Medical simulation centers being used for CIVOD footage.
GOODMAN CENTER is my guess, but could also be NYU.
see next tweet for repost of video.
Compare these 2 simulation centers with footage coming out about "war zones" in hospitals.
I have also heard from a Doc involved in this industry for 22 years. Will report soon.
Do either of these match?

1) Although Montreal observed a smaller rise in #COVID cases Friday, it reported its biggest single-day increase in deaths: 12. The pandemic has now claimed the lives of 29 Montrealers, all elderly but for one individual in his/her 30s. In this thread, I also address projections.
2) First, though, let me share what I’ve learned from health professionals on the front lines. At Lachine Hospital, the ICU staff are now intubating an average of three #COVID19 patients a day. Some physicians are desperate for masks and are willing to buy the masks themselves.
3) The total number of confirmed #COVID cases across Montreal Island rose to 2,837 — an increase of 7.38%. That’s far better than Thursday’s jump of 25.99%. But the case numbers are fluctuating wildly from day to day, likely reflecting backlogs in tests.

1) Despite introducing social-distancing measures more than two weeks ago, Montreal is now facing its biggest surge in the #COVID19 pandemic: an increase of 545 cases in a single day. In this thread, I review the latest data and suggest we all must redouble our efforts.
2) First, let me reel off some sobering stats. The number of #COVID19 outbreaks in Montreal’s long-term care centres jumped to at least 20 on Thursday from 13 the day before. Two acute-care hospitals are grappling with outbreaks, including one infecting 35 patients.
3) Montreal’s courageous and exhausted health-care workers are being hit hard: 148 have tested positive for #COVID19, up from 121 on Wednesday.

Bats called flying foxes spread Hendra viruses, which can cause fever, cough, convulsions, coma & death. Get your "beautiful" flying fox quarter today from the @usmint. No joke... #coronavirus 1/3
The first recorded Hendra virus outbreak was in Mackay, Australia, in 1994. The virus infected 21 racehorses and two people. There have been 7 outbreaks since: in 04, 06, 07, and 08... #virus #pandemic #CoronavirusUSA 2/3
You catch Hendra from horses, who catch it from bats. It's an RNA virus that mutates quickly so it could jump from bat to human. The govt. (@nswhealth) advises don't "kiss horses on the muzzle, especially if the horse is sick."💋Good advice. #COVIDー19 3/3

Recent neuroscience shows when we perceive ourselves to be under constant emotional threat, brain/body respond to those stressors as if they are biological pathogens, upping ⬆️ inflammatory hormones and cytokines that harm immune health.
We need to feel socially & emotionally safe in order for our brain (which cross chats with our body's immune system) to function optimally. Happily we have a lot of agency in terms of how we manage our stress-immune response. Micro-choices matter if we're to flourish in crisis.
Ask yourself on and off today:

#Hello Brain: what messages am I sending you right now?”

Most of us are sending our brain non-stop danger-alert signals from #pandemic news that ⬆️ our stress-immune response at a time when we need our immune system to be healthier than ever.

#Trump tells the truth sometimes. It’s called #RevelationOfTheMethod. Most people ridicule Trump, so this was very effective in killing the #Hoax storyline as one of Trump crazy lines. Very smart. #Corona is nothing but a heavy flu season with the same mortality: 0,1%

I appreciate your time reading this thread. Not many of my followers interact w/my posts, but I feel if I reach just 1 person & it helps, or keeps even just a few people complying with the #StayHome orders issued around the world - I must write this.
I'm a healthcare worker. I work at a hospital in the epicenter of the #CoronavirusOutbreak in the #NewYorkCity area. Today I have symptoms of having contracted #COVIDー19. It was inevitable. My hospital has dozens of patients & staff that are positive & that I've been exposed to.
I am terrified. I am immunocompromised. I have no ability to fight this. I am an #EssentialWorker - a state employee - and was advised by my doctors very early on to stay home because of the severe impact this virus could have on me. I did not heed the advice. Here is why:

Well it’s a huge flaming pile of manure. Same difference.…
Even though this base burned manure at 9 tons a month. This one night was so ominous. So “dust filled” that the burning manure mixed with the dust and became the super armageddon of shitdust flus!
If it looks and smells like a giant flaming pile of bullshit it probably is a giant flaming pile of bullshit.

Second thread of the evening – I was invited onto @MSNBC earlier this evening to talk modeling of infectious disease. I got bumped by the @WhiteHouse press briefing running over. Here are a few of the things I was planning to say after watching it 1/n
First, at some point Tony Fauci made the comment that ‘models are only as good as their assumptions’ or similar and apologized for dissing his modeling colleagues. Tony, your modeling colleagues agree. You're good 2/n
Looking at the models referred to in the press briefing: the @IHME_UW modelmakes very strong assumptions based on the previous outbreaks elsewhere. This sounds reasonable, but if we had only seen Wuhan, we wouldn’t have gotten Italy right 3/n

Is American military readiness compromised by #COVID19 infections?
The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt now reports 70 ailing sailors on board, & is begging for assistance.
@MaxBoot @MicahZenko
Commander USS T Roosevelt: “We are not at war. Sailors do not need to die. If we do not act now, we are failing to properly take care of our most trusted asset — our sailors.”
“Removing the majority of personnel frm a deployed US nuclear aircraft carrier & isolating them for 2 wks may seem like an extraordinary meas. Keeping >4,000 on board the TR is an unnecess risk & breaks faith w/those Sailors entrusted to our care.”

More info:…
Some background from Lauren Ancel Meyers @meyerslab about the #epidemiology modeling community's efforts to produce #pandemic projections for the @CDC — first about #influenza and then, suddenly and with the models incomplete, pivoting to #COVID19:
Aggregate data from travel in and out of #Wuhan in early 2020. To infer the pace of the #epidemic, @meyerslab and colleagues used info on timing & location from first cases in other areas, travel volume to/from Wuhan, and gave an early doubling rate for #COVID19:

Sequence of Events-Failure of Administration:
1- Entry of Foreigners: "When asked whether the foriegn preachers were not screened at the airport for any COVID symptoms, the official said, “they entered India before the red alert was sounded.”
Failure 1- Delay in Announcing Red Alert for screening of foreigners for COVID-19. And if passengers entered before start of thermal screening in Jan 18, then these foreigners who entered before 18th Jan shouldn't be blamed as symptoms of COVID19 starts appearing within 14 days.
So they might had got infected in India. Based on above reports.

(For date of thermal screening, refer ET report below & for official Statement regarding entry of preachers before start of screening, refer The Hindu news above)…

I'm worried about you.
Here's why:

I survived war, which involved long stretches being housebound, rockets raining down nightly, deafening gun battles, no electricity, scarce supplies, and terror.

Yet, this #COVID19 #pandemic has a different sort of anxiety because it's striking across the globe.
I've lived with PTSD for decades and I worry about the millions of people who will have permanent trauma from this #pandemic.

It's very difficult and I'm sending you love and strength. 💙✊🏽

All 3 countries see a strong age correlations for severe disease outcomes, hospitalization rates and deaths.
