My analysis of different sources shows that Ukrainian forces launched long-promised counteroffensive in multiple areas of frontline in #Kherson region & managed to capture several villages, but significant losses are reported. Counteroffensive was apparently ordered by Zelenskyy.

His website reported on Aug 28 that #Zelenskyy held "secret meeting" with "heads of the Armed Forces, intelligence agencies, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine and other defense forces." He then promised big news i.e Kherson

Well-informed Russian Telegram channel Rybar confirms capture of Sukhyi Stavok by Ukrainian forces & admits loss of Lozove. It also admits loss of Kyseliovka & Pravdyno on Mykolaiv #Kherson line, but states that they were recaptured & fighting continues for these & other villages

"Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian defenders will drive the invaders to the border, but no one will tell about the plans of the Armed Forces, and it is time for the Russian military to flee or surrender." He said that war "should end with liberation" of Crimea & Donbas. #Ukraine
