๐จ๐ฆ medics are providing surgical care to war casualties from ๐บ๐ฆ at a hospital in the southern ๐ต๐ฑ city of Czeladลบ. The initiative is part of the ๐จ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฆ Surgical Aid Programme (CUSAP)
Based at the Czeladลบ hospital, 30 volunteer nurses, anesthesiologists & surgeon specialists from ๐จ๐ฆ are treating ๐บ๐ฆ soldiers as well as civilians who have become casualties of the war. The ๐จ๐ฆ team is supported by ๐ต๐ฑ& ๐จ๐ฆ medical professionals, including ๐บ๐ฆ doctors who speak ๐ต๐ฑ&๐ฌ๐ง
The Czeladลบ hospital currently houses the first group of 18 ๐บ๐ฆpatients.
Prof Antonyshyn from the @UofT, who leads the ๐จ๐ฆ medical team, told @PAP_eng that the patients had โhorrible injuriesโ from ๐ท๐บ gun fire or bomb explosions.
In June, ๐บ๐ฆ gov't signed a $65mln contract with ๐ต๐ฑ for 72 ๐ฆ Krab howitzers, of which the first 18 have been "donated" ๐. In August @CNN reported that the Polish Krabs play a significant role in ๐บ๐ฆ defense, showing ๐บ๐ฆ soldiers praising the accuracy & modernity of the ๐ฆs.
#Poland announced that it would like to purchase 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters from ๐บ๐ธ. The whopping, near-triple digit order would replace the countryโs fleet of Mi-24 Hind helicopter gunships and would also make ๐ต๐ฑ the largest #Apache operator besides the ๐บ๐ธ Army. #BeLikePoland

Jerzy Popieลuszko was born #OTD in 1947 to a farming family in Okopy, a village in eastern #Poland bordering modern-day #Ukraine. While #WWII had ended, the regime of the Communist Party had taken place of the ๐ฉ๐ช and ๐ท๐บ occupants and ruled ๐ต๐ฑ at the time.
As a young man, Popieลuszko served his required time in the army before completing seminary studies and becoming a priest for the Archdiocese of Warsaw. He was ordained on May 28, 1972 at the age of 24.
